Beneath the Gothic spires of Notre-Dame Cathedral, where French kings once received their crowns, lies a city devoted to bubbles. The cathedral's magnificent facade tells stories in stone, while underground, legendary champagne houses like Veuve Clicquot and Taittinger reveal the secrets behind those precious golden sips. After touring the cellars, admire the Art Deco flourishes that survived two world wars, or visit the Tau Palace to see royal coronation treasures. The Mars Gate stands as testament to Roman roots, while the Hotel Le Vergeur Museum showcases medieval life. For a perfect afternoon, grab a flaky pastry at a local café and watch the light change on the cathedral's ancient stones.

Holiday Inn Express and Suites Reims Rives De Vesle by IHG
"Good roadstop hotel on way back to UK."
Radisson Hotel Reims
"Fab hotel, great staff, made to feel very welcome"
Hôtel Bristol Reims
"Nice hotel in the middle and lovely part of Reims with a reasonable underground car park outside the front door. Reasonably priced. Nice room. Would be happy to go back. The person on the front desk was particularly unhelpful. We arrived at 12pm, before check in time 3pm having travelled overnight to get there. Our experience in the UK is that if you arrive early hotels accept you asking if you can get in, and they will typically check the room is available, if there isn’t they will let you know and you accept you need to wait. This person didn’t check, just said we can’t check in. We went back at two just to check again, and again the person didn’t check and just said no. Literally could not have cared less. Just poor, computer says no, customer service."

For a satisfying experience, a stay of at least 1 to 2 days is ideal for exploring the city's rich cultural heritage, including its notable cathedral, monuments, museums, churches, and historical tours. This affordable time frame provides ample opportunity to appreciate the area's landmarks and its historical attractions, ensuring a memorable visit without breaking the bank.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: Hotels.com offers a range of options for booking a trip to Reims. You may discover attractive rates in the DealsOpens in a new window section and could find reduced options in the Last-Minute Deals area near your travel date. You’re more likely to see flash sales by enabling email alerts or push notifications. Additionally, the Smart Shopping tool in the app allows travellers to compare hotel prices and amenities. This comparison tool ensures you stay informed about room availability and potential price drops, helping you plan a spontaneous getaway.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices can vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so having some flexibility with your dates may help you save on your stay in a Reims hotel. For those seeking unique experiences, boutique hotels can offer a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest more affordable dates, which could help you secure a better deal.
- Consider your location: Hotels situated near the city centre usually tend to be more expensive; however, with Reims's excellent public transport options, you may discover a more affordable independent hotel slightly further out that remains well connected. For those eager to explore alternative, less crowded neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money to be found. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
