2/10 Poor

The worst place I have ever stayed! The room was hotter than a sauna and they don’t have even a fan. When we arrived was 38 degrees and during the night was 25, but inside the room was deffo hotter. Our windows were in front of a car park where young people where drinking, swearing , using drugs and burnouts with cars the whole night until 3:53am!!!! At 1:30am a girl and 3 guys started to scream because one of them has a GUN! they were about 50people partying with non stop. They just stopped after one of the guys get really bad injury crashing in another car in one of these burnouts. It was INSANE!!!! The showers where super low and the water was weak and going everywhere. I can’t explain this experience. I wouldn’t recommended this hotel not even for my enemy. After travel 22 countries and stayed in a few different hotels, including Australia, this is definitely the worst one EVER!

The staff and food were fantastic, the room was dated and there is no parking, the no parking was the biggest problem because the bar is in a busy street in the city, expensive!

Good that it was right in town, but would've prefered if they didn't leave the reception unattended all night and in the morning when checking out. Basic rooms and amenities. Alright for price I guess

Confortable but noisy.
The room was fine, and the hotel location is excellent. The only problem was a loud incessant air conditioning noise emanating from the kitchens at the back of the hotel - I think only the single rooms at the back would be affected by this.

We were in the twin room. The shower door leaked and flooded the floor every time we had a shower. We had no issue with the noise from the bar downstairs, however we were not warned that there would be a very loud party on our floor only a couple of doors down, where there was very loud music until well past midnight. The room was also very stuffy as there were no external windows and no ventilation, so we had to leave our door open half the time so that we could get some fresh(ish) air in.

There were no blinds on the window to stop the morning light. The room was stifling hot but opening the window let in the noise and smell of the extractor fan from the kitchen, and a prodigious number of mosquitoes. And the previous guest's toenail clippings hadn't been vacuumed up.

Rolled in on a Sunday, very quiet had the place to myself, the location was perfect however no free parking left me to move the car at least 1km away every day to avoid getting fined rather than paying excess $25 a day, staff were great pricing was decent

You have to be kidding
Due to start a wilderness walk in the morning, retired for hopefully restful sleep.....Star Bar Saturday night included a jack-hammer loud doof doof DJ type set up 4meters and 1 single pane glass door from my door/ear drums, through to 12.30. No pre-warning, zero duty of care, NEVER again. Advice, don’t go there.

Hotel to be avoided
I stayed at this hotel from March 22nd to 24th 2018. The hotel facilities are not bad, but you can't trust them with your credit card. I paid cash when I arrived, and I had given my credit card number to Wotif as a guarantee. When I left no one said anything, and then I noticed the hotel had debited me for the same amount I had paid cash. First time I have been double charged, and I travel a lot. I wrote at least 4 emails, but got no answer. I am writing this on the March the 12th. I also hold Wotif partly responsible for not choosing their hotels more thoroughly. I wrote to Wotif several times and they just kept sending me the standard reply: "get in contact with the hotel". So if you don't want to pay twice, avoid this hotel

Good Budget accommodation
I decided to stop over in Launceston for a night travelling on my way to Penguin. I wanted budget accommodation and this is truly budget digs - small room with bed and shower and that’s about it. Don’t expect more. No hotel parking - can park on street after 5.30 pm free

No Room Service --nothing in all the paperwork about this.!!!! Lot of road noise with windows open due to heat -just a small fan -no aircon. Too much noise in eating area as its open to full bar area. Parking a major problem $3.50 per hour . Early evening in street is free if you can find a park. Saw manager to get fresh towels.

Close to the Mall
How very disappointing! Close to the city centre is the only thing which is good about this Hotel I has no parking, there isn't air conditioning, it has only one powerpoint, there are no bedside tables we booked the advertised two rooms, we got small room with two single beds, and the other room was shower with toilet, most terrible shower you could possibly have with hardly enough room to turn around, the small fridge is closed in cupboard while motor running you worry that it may started fire, we would not recommend this Hotel. We tried to make an inquiry about the accomodation before we paid for it, but the hotel phone number is hidden and we were told that we get answer from USA in about 15 hours!!! But after we paid for the accomodation we could get the number and talk to someone. For the money you can get much better accommodation elsewhere.

Cheap Room
For the price i paid (around $60 per night) I strongly recommend this accommodation. The room was basic but comfortable and great value for money compared to other places i have stayed for the same price. I arrived around 10pm and the staff were very friendly and accomodating.

Too noisy
I stayed over 2 nights (Thurs, Fri) in September 2017 and found that the room was too noisy due to a single pane of glass, droughty door and close proximity to something that sounded like a refrigerator fan and car hoons nearby. I can only imagine what Saturday night would be like when there is a live band playing! The reception desk was not staffed, meaning that you will need to approach the bar staff to check in. The tiny tv had extremely poor reception, rendering it useless and the heater did not have any obvious on/off switch, making the room very cold. These minor negatives aside, I would rate the experience moderate to good value if you can sleep through noise.

The staff, Ben, Lizzie and the gorgeous Irish girl, couldn't do enough for us. The facilities were thoroughly clean and comfortable. In short, if we ever want to stay in Launceston again, that's where we'll stay. We'll also recommend it to friends. Thanks a lot, Garry Piercy
