Just amazes me how these places look online and as soon as you see it, it’s a totally different story. First off lets talk about my room not having a freaking shower head for the shower of course all rooms are sold out. The next morning l go for breakfast the lady is eating while casually putting stuff out and it was nothing like the picture shown. Hot food was placed in the same cabinet as the bread/bagels and muffins so basically once the egg patties and sausage cooled down you was gonna have to microwave it again instead of actually having a food warmer that kept it warm. Room was small. Hallways looked Horrendous, elevator smelled like weed, no accessible parking for hotel guests. One of the days l was in the lobby there was a kid/teenager no shoes or socks just standing in the front lobby like it was normal. Everywhere you turned it was always folks standing around from 7am to 11pm outside and being from Baltimore and moving away. I hated l had to always worry about my truck being broken into but it don’t matter because that’s the 1st and last time at this place. I even left a day earlier because l was feed up

When we pulled up, I actually panicked little. Couldn’t figure out parking but called hotel and they directed to garage aCross the street. I was actually a little scared of the area hotel was located in. Dirty streets vandalism etc. Based on the pictures on hotel.com thought it was different for sure. Our room was on the 6th floor. There was white splatters or something on the door. We had some flies in the bathroom. The bathroom smelled like smoke and we booked a non smoking room. The beds were comfortable. Tv and fridge worked. You could smell that People were smoking pot in the building and children/young adults running around late at night making lots of noise. In the morning when I mentioned the pot they said they tell them not to and they do it anyways. We checked out by 7 am. Not what I expected for a La Quinta by Windham.

The hotel did its job. It was the environment I wouldn't do again. Couldn't even step outside to smoke a cig without being bombarded by streets of Baltimore.

WiFi didn't work, and I told the receptionist that I will check out late but for some reason the housekeeping were knocking on the door every hour after 11 that was super annoying because I was trying to sleep. Also they dont have parking lot so you got park on the streets.

Clean, but wouldn’t not stay again
The room was clean and the bed was very comfortable. The hotel is not in the safest part of town and the only parking is street parking. There is a garage down the street but they close gates at a certain time at night and it’s closed on Sunday, so that wasn’t an option for us. We skipped on the complimentary breakfast as the options, outside of possibly a waffle, weren’t great.

Not good at all…
Room was filthy and smelled like animal urine. Staff were standoffish, but not unhelpful. The bed was comfortable, but that was the only good thing I can say. We will not be returning to this location.

Ehhhh
Was in the area for a convention for the weekend and unfortunately most of the hotels in area were booked up so this was basically last resort. I wouldn’t have stayed here if most of the hotels in the area weren’t booked. The service was kinda mid and the hotel was rather dingy. When we got to our room, we noticed it smelled like smoke (cigarettes to be exact) the windows were open & it was apparent the previous guest had smoked. The bathroom sink only had hot water and the floors were sticky.

2/10 Poor

Ghetto with 0 sense of security and bad management
I arrived to check-in what I thought would be a nice downtown motel, but three blocks from the address, I noticed the area got really shady with storefronts boarded up and graffiti everywhere. Arriving to the front curb, I was greeted by a junky asking what I needed. I told him I'm checking in, then he kept walking in and out of the hotel with his ''associate'' - so before unloading my wheelchair and service dog, waited for them to leave. Over the next 30-minutes, I watched them conduct no less than four drug deals from the curb. With the junky serving the cars that pulled up and his associate going in the hotel each time with the dope. Meanwhile, queue the 2 assumed prostitutes coming in and out of the lobby to meet their John's with their pimp before driving off and the pimp going back in the lobby, only to bring out another girl ten minutes later. Friday night at this rat hole is a nightmare. I immediately called Hotels.com to let them know I would NOT be checking in and demanding a refund for my pre-paid reservation. I ended up staying at the Inner Harbor and having to pay three times the price to feel safe. Expedia requested a response to the property manager who ignored my request, so I had to file a chargeback with my credit card. DO NOT STAY HERE UNLESS YOU ARE LOOKING FOR DRUGS OR A PROSTITUTE. There was no security present, nor on-site parking, and the management is clearly aware of the problems but let it happen. Likely because it's the only chance of customers.

I was contemplating 2 or 3 stars. Pros: Downtown baltimore Walking distance to convention center Free hot breakfast Mini fridge and microwave in room Cons: Staff at check in were confused and did not know how to check us in. The neighborhood was unsafe and noisy. People were constantly outside yelling at each other. There is a church right across the street that starts to loudly ring it's bells at 7am on Saturday and Sunday (unsure of other days as i was only there for the weekend). Room was very hot and took forever to cool down with the AC. Small room Room smellled very old and musty Pillows stank Over priced for the quality and neighborhood Our room key needed to be re-keyed every day
