One of the most beautiful historical towns I've ever been in. I e been to hundreds of small towns as a long haul truck driver delivering Medical Mavinrs (pet scans, mri machines). I recommend putting this historical Gold Rush town on bucket list

The people at the restaurants were super friendly. I was able to get food to go and also, delivered. It is a breath of fresh air to find such conscientious and kind people. There were trails right from the property and railroad museum.

Nevada City is a quiet town but gets busy with tourists. The shops are great and there are plenty of great places to eat.

"I had checked out this hotel ahead. they gave me a newly refurbished room, it was quiet and clean. Its a short drive to downtown. I didn't walk it but i believe you can. I was attending an event at navada fairgrounds in grass valley it was perfect just 10 mins. "
"We booked the top floor because it has that attic, Harry Potter feeling.
OMG! It is the best hotel we have ever stayed in. The room is so beautiful. We felt like we were living in Harry Potter's house, minus where Harry really lived in.
Our only wish is that we can live in a place like this permanently.
Our kids loved it.
It really has that Precious Moments cottage feeling.
For me, it really reminded me of the hostel we stayed in Frankfurt, Germany and Britain.
The couple that are engaged and working there, are so friendly and welcoming. We will never forget their kind hospitality.
We'll be back here."
"A gorgeous historic hotel centrally located to shopping and restaurants. The hotel bar and restaurant were excellent. We opted for the King Studio and had a nice sized room. Others in our party had small rooms with queen sized beds. We will definitely will return. "
"I stayed in Daphne, a cute single room. Perfect for just me and one night. Very clean, plenty spacious. My only complaint was that it was very bright in the room all-night due to lights outside & curtains that werent black out. "
"This is the second time we stayed here and really enjoy the stream, the patio, the area and Priya is a delight! We were here on July 4th and didn't hear one firework go off all night! What a nice escape from the Bay Area. Thank you!"
