Lively city, great food, beaches and tours to do. Found getting around difficult. Traffic is insane, hard to cross the street, a bit stressful to walk around on main streets. Taxis are expensive, buses are not really an option for tourists.

The town was great. Super market for other things we wanted that were not included at the resort (alcohol, extra beach towels, etc) was very convenient. Easy to navigate around the streets to sight see and experience all the city had to offer.

Puerto Plata is a beautiful city and there's a lot to enjoy on the outdoors. Experiences should not be based o a single bad experience as there are many other places and things to do. For all tourists out there just have your list of discarded places

Puerto plata is a very nice and safe place, but getting very expensive because of all the cruise ships that stop by there but at the end of the day the locals are suffering the high prices.

"I had a fantastic experience staying at this hotel. One of the standout highlights was the excellent local food offered—fresh, flavorful, and a true taste of the region. It made every meal something to look forward to.
The staff was incredibly friendly and serviceable, always ready to help with a smile. From check-in to check-out, their hospitality made me feel genuinely welcome and well cared for.
The location is also a big plus—conveniently situated and just a short walk to the beach, which made it easy to enjoy both the sea and nearby attractions.
If you're looking for a comfortable place with authentic local cuisine, warm staff, and beachside access, this is a perfect choice. Highly recommend!"
