Perfect base for exploring London

Next to Victoria Station, this is an excellent location for exploring London and surrounding areas. Although a historical building, comfort and modern abound throughout. Friendly and helpful staff, answering all questions and providing help when we discovered we'd left our plug adapters at our last stop. We enjoyed our stay.

Excellent hotel. For once, the online photos are not fooling you. Very clean, delicious breakfast, great location on top of Victoria St and next door to the Harry Potter-busses. Only drawback was the plastic sheets that the hotels seems to be very fond of - it’s just not so good for your sleep.

Excellent hotel in the heart of London

Extremely well located near Victoria Station, The Clermont was a great choice for our trip. We went as a family with a 8 year girl. Being near the station made our life so much easier. And I’m not necessarily talking about the Tube. There are several buses that start off at Victoria Station and cover so much of the city. The buses are comfortable and allow you to see the city from above ground. You can easily get to the Buckingham Palace by foot. Also getting to the hotel from Heathrow was pretty easy. But it’s not all location. The Clermont has comfortable rooms, great beds, the bathroom was really clean and the bathroom amenities were good. Also their mini fridge and some other amenities are complimentary and refreshed daily. The breakfast is another high point. Good variety, and a true full English breakfast, with sausages, egg, beans and bacon. To top off, the staff was really friendly and we also enjoyed some drinks at the Reúnion, the once first class lounge for the trains. Despite being near the station, the hotel was silent. The gym looked good, but we didn’t go.

Great staff but two problems

Staff excellent-friendly and helpful. Breakfast buffet excellent-plenty of choices. However, two big problems: noise level in restaurant so high every day, we could not eat dinner in there-we had to go around the corner and buy sandwiches, and all of the doors slam-we had to listen to slamming doors from 3:00 pm until we went to sleep and again in the morning starting at 4 am - these 2 problems would prevent me from staying there again

Great hotel, service, and location!

We had a wonderful stay at The Clermont in London! We only had 2 night in London and we wanted to make the most of our short time there. The location was great. We decided to do the Big Bus (hop on Hop off) which was located on the side of the hotel. The train station is also on the other side which made getting a taxi to the airport extremely easy. We arrived on an early train from Paris and the hotel gladly stored our bags for us and took them to our room when it was ready, allowing us to go out and explore for the day. The hotel is very close to Wicked and Hamilton, so we looked into last minute Hamilton tix and scored a great deal, same-day! We had dinner in the restaurant (very cute) and then popped over on foot. We booked a family room and I was very happy to see the extra bed was already pulled out and made for us upon arrival. The room was well-appointed and the staff was all so friendly and helpful. In our booking with Hotels.com, we included breakfast, which was a good call for us since we wanted to make the most of our days sightseeing and eating our other meals out. Overall, very happy with the hotel and the value for the price point!
