I had a reservation at Hotel Shubham Beach through Expedia, and what I encountered was beyond disappointing. The exterior of the property itself was a red flag — it genuinely gives off the appearance of a shady establishment, nothing like a proper hotel.
When I went inside and asked to see the room before making the payment, the staff behaved in the most unprofessional way possible. They insisted that I must pay upfront even before getting a look at the room. When I refused, they suddenly turned rude and started hurling abusive language that I won’t even repeat here.
I’ve travelled extensively and never have I seen such a pathetic sense of hospitality. The way they speak to guests is unacceptable, and the overall environment is extremely uncomfortable.
Honestly, this property should not even be listed on platforms like Expedia until they fix their conduct. Definitely not a place I would recommend to anyone.
