This is a nice property, but the amenities are severely lacking for how much of a fee they collect from you ($8 per person, per night), which remains even if most of the "amenities" are closed. The employees at the club house are not very friendly either, although I don't think they're affiliated with Country Hideaway.
Some notes I took during our stay:
1) The room itself was cozy and the beds were comfy. The kitchen was well-stocked with appliances.
2) Contrary to what Expedia has listed under the amenities, there is NOT "24 hour pool access". We politely asked about this at the Mountain Lakes club house shortly after we arrived, and one of the women said to us in a condescending tone, "none of our amenities have ever been 24 hours, you can't believe everything you read online!"
3) The hot tub was "out of order" throughout our entire stay. We asked how long it would be unusable, and that same woman's response was: "A while."
4) One of the outdoor pools has a waterslide, but that pool is only open Memorial-Labor day. The other pool is at the club house, but the only entrance/exit is through the building, and they have a rule against being wet inside the building. Seemed like a catch-22, so we didn't even bother after our previous interactions with the staff.
5) The wet steam room was very unappealing. It looked like a dirty bathroom. It had all white tiles, so you could see every stain.
6) The dry steam room was made of traditional wood and looked okay.
