Pros: The hotel has style and color. Staff were very helpful and accommodating. Blackout shade was great. Rooms come with water bottles that can be refilled with regular, bubbly or hot water. The price is reasonable and the location is convenient. There is a bar/restaurant on the first floor. Cons: There is a bar/restaurant on the first floor. It stays open until 1 am on Friday and Saturday nights, and when I was there the noise was loud enough to keep me awake, even on the sixth floor, and when it closed, the noise continued outside for a little while. Also, the rooms and bathrooms are extremely small and cramped. There is no chair, only a small, round, discolored ottoman (no back), and no desk, just a strange little pull-down device which one would have to sit on the bed to use. There is very little room to put anything in either the rooms or the bathrooms, and the bathrooms had a slight mildewy smell. The hotel charges extra for amenites which are meager and usually included at other places, although when I protested this was waived.

Rooms are very very small. Bed was comfortable, but overall the room lacked surfaces to put anything on, especially noticeable in the bathroom with no sink counter or ledge to put even a toothbrush or toiletry bag. No closet, no table or chair, no useable mirrors, other than in the bathroom. No mini fridge or accessible ice. Shampoo was watered down to the point of being unusable, and the room’s temperature was hard to control-it was either very cold or very hot. Overall, there was not much care put into the property or rooms, though the decor was appealing. We do not care for the two separate bed comforters on the king, would prefer one big. The best part about this hotel is the location in Boston’s south end, easily walkable to Newbury street, Boston Common and the theatre district. If you want a no frills stay in a good location in Boston, this is it.

I had a wonderful experience checking in thanks to Mitchell at the front desk. Mitchell was extremely friendly, smiled throughout the whole interaction, and made my day after a long trip. It’s always nice to be welcomed by someone so positive and helpful. Great first impression of the hotel!

Boutique hotel in a very walkable area. Not a lot of food stores or restaurants, several parking garages ( but at the hotel) The hotel has a bar restaurant. Surprisingly good food ( tried just two items) Not a fan of the $30 resort fee. If price wise you are ok with that when included ( i paid $600 for 4 nights all taxes and resort fee included) it's not bad for Boston. Water provided. The keurig i didn't use. Needed to be cleaned. One night neighbors were loud but shut up once i knocked on their door, no issues. Building a tad old but not poor. Overall good stay.

Very cute and well branded. Had to move rooms after the first toilet didnt work. Sadly they said the fixed it but hadnt. 2nd room we could not control the heat. Is an older quirky building which i get. The people were awesome and loved that the bar was an actual local hang out... if the room quirks are fixed i would gladly go back

The bed was hard, the front desk makes no sense and was very awkward to use. The room was clean but you could hear the music from the bar upstairs on the second floor. It was just an ok place, I booked it based on the reviews and I can agree with it being clean but that's pretty m much it really. I also did NOT appreciate the stuffed dog in the bed, my dog immediately went right for it and I had to pay $30 for an over priced stuffed dog that clearly was worth only $10 at the most. They should or those stuffed animals where a dog cannot get to it and allow the visit to decide whether or not to buy it. I felt it was a very sneaky move on their end and again I didn't appreciate it at all. The good at the restaurant was really good, but I will not be staying here again based on the comfort level, the stuffed animal situation and the rooms are super tiny.
