I and my wife enjoyed our two days stay at Tru downtown Minneapolis. Convenient location, affordable, easy access to places nearby. Front office staff, Massia was nice, friendly and helpful. We had a very nice stay. The hotel was over booked and they moved us to a different room and comped our valet for being accommodating. Room was clean. Hotel was clean and very well cared for. The hotel was clean but when I went to open the window it faced a brick wall. Never again! Also, free breakfast and park on the street free from 6 pm-8am am download the parking app and put money on your spot at 8 am, way cheaper than paying $50 for valet.

The property is very nice and newer, close to a lot of things downtown. The room was spacious and very clean. The only reasoning for not giving full stars was an incident that happened during breakfast with an employee. The other employee at the desk was very apologetic, and said it would be taken care of. I honestly really liked this hotel but not sure if I'd stay again. Traveling solo is intimidating enough without harsh words being spoken right away in the morning.

We were in town for my best friend‘s graduation. Everything was pretty OK but the number one thing we realize in the room was that the thermostat indeed did not work. The room would not get any warmer no matter how high we turned up the thermostat. It was rainy and windy on our first day. We came back to a cold room and every day until we checked out, it was cold in the room.
