Had a fantastic stay here - location is unbeatable, restaurant food was great, and the rooms were very comfortable. Special shoutout to the very friendly and helpful staff – gave some great advice for our hikes for the weekend and let us check in early when we unexpectedly arrived a few hours before we intended to. Great experience, we will definitely be back.

Desk clerk when we checked in on 8/18 was friendly and helpful. She gave us useful information about Point Reyes Natl. Seashore and very good restaurant recommendations. The desk clerk when we checked out was less friendly although courteous.

8/10 Very good

Great staff and beautiful location. My room was big, but could do with renovation. I wish it had A/C because there was a major heat wave going on, something that is exceedingly rare in West Marin. I understand why they don’t have A/C, but I wish there was one during my visit. Would I go there again? Yes.

We only stayed one night on our way from SF to Mendocino, but really enjoyed our stay. We appreciated how clean and comfortable the room was, the beautiful grounds and view, the amenities (real Keurig and not a cheap knock-off — yay!!), and friendly staff. This place is a hidden gem that’s very close to Point Reyes!

We stayed one night , great location . Room was fine and clean, and beds were comfortable . Nice touch with the Keurig coffee machine etc .

6/10 Good

The location of this motel was very convenient for the bioluminescent kayak tour that leaves right from the sand at this location. The room was bare bones. Hard mattress was not ideal. And, dumpster which smelled of rotting flesh right outside the door was pretty awful. I expected a bit better for the price I was paying.

6/10 Good

Good: clean linens, hot showers, convenient after-hours check-in, mini-fridge in room, on-site restaurant. Bad: Deferred maintenance in Unit 7 where I stayed . The shower stall was tiled and previously painted but the paint was peeling and chipping in multiple places. There is also small amounts of black soot, presumably mold, in some of the exposed grout and tile crevices. Toilet was wobbly when sitting on it, so it needs to be shimmed.

Overall a mid. The location is excellent for visiting Point Reyes National seashore. The property is old and basic. Generally clean and staff was ok. Nothing to really complain about, and nothing to rave about.
