Our base for a week
We stayed in Montevideo for a week as part of a longer vacation. This hotel is close to shopping, dining, and the beach. Everything about the hotel was excellent. You don’t need a car as Uber is readily available and reasonably priced. Even though this is an upscale neighborhood, you do need to be cautious.

I stayed at this hotel for 20 years off and on. The last manager would have paid more attention to garbage in the front yard...that kind of thing.

Staff is very nice. The facilities could use some updates.
The room is super small so if you have two suitcases it’s hard to move around.
Nice hot water running.
Breakfast is quite complete.
Overall for a two night stay it was ok, especially the location close to the Punta Carretas shopping center.
