It’s a place to crash when going to the Key. It could be a real gem but it needs work, the sign out front is looking for investors. Note *there are no dressers, tables or cupboards to put bags or your belongings on. It’s a bed with a tiny night stand and a tv. If they invested a small amount into the basics, this place could be so much better.

Free parking but room not ready at 4:30. No restaurant open and no wifi. Room doors do not shut tight - noisy hallways. Nobody at desk before 12 noon and after 6pm. Front door not locked - very unsafe feeling here.

There was no shower curtain in the room. Cleaning staff was gone by 4:30pm for the day. They did not change our room the same day. They offered for us to go another the next morning to shower. There were no glasses or cups in the room. Pillows were very thin. The mattress was good though. I would not stay there again until they renovate.

This is an excellent place to stay when we attend concerts at the Kee to Bala. It's fun and a relaxed fun environment within walking distance. The staff is always amazing when we come.

The location is great for attending concerts at the Kee to Bala. The staff at the hotel and the Muskoka Beer spa (same owner for both) were both incredibly helpful and friendly. However, the price of the room does not reflect the quality of the room. There was a portable AC unit in our room which worked great for keeping the room cool but it might bother you with the noise so it’s something to consider. I over heard from other guest that their room didn’t have any AC, I was thankful that ours did. The pillows and bedding were so thin we might as well not have at any. There are other little things I could complain about (the quality of the fixures - bathroom hooks that are stick on) but they are generally all tolerable things. Overall my biggest complaint is the price of the room. I would just expect more from $350 a night.

We had a great one night stay - in Bala for a concert at The Kee. Rooms are not generally air conditioned but we lucked out with one. Clean and well taken care of. Would definitely stay again but would insist on an air conditioner!

Our room was clean. It wax only a bed, 2 night stands, a tv & bathroom. No closet or dresser Our floor slanted downwards from the window. The bathtub was not level - the water did not drain. There was nobody at the desk when we checked out.

The structure of the building is off kilter, and the rooms feel like your on a ship, as it’s so slanted, and it throws off your equilibrium and if you suffer vertigo issues, might cause problems. The bed slanted as the whole floor is, so we tried sleeping where the opposite way at our feet end, otherwise we would have been slanted in an uncomfortable position. There were tiny ants in the bathroom everywhere and a hole in the floor!
