Very nice for a room above a pub. Everything worked and was clean and well maintained. Our room was serviced every day, which is a nice touch.
The pub is in a good location in between two busy streets with lots of shops, takeaways, restaurants, etc. nearby. Central Brighton is an easy buy ride or a £10 taxi journey away. Parking might be an issue, though.

4 tips for savvy savings when booking a hotel in Hove
Book for the cheapest times: The most affordable months to visit Hove are January, February, and November, when hotel prices tend to be lower. For those looking to explore the city's rich history and cultural offerings, a stay of at least 2 to 3 days is recommended. This timeframe allows visitors to enjoy key landmarks, stroll along the beach, and dine at budget-friendly restaurants. You can also take advantage of the natural parks, relax in local spas, and experience the friendly atmosphere that Hove has to offer—all while staying within a budget. With prices potentially dropping during these months, it's a great value for money destination.
Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover enticing last-minute deals to Hove, begin by exploring the Dealsopens in new window or Last-Minute Deals sections on Hotels.com, where you may discover discounted hotel options as your travel date approaches. Additionally, consider enabling email alerts or push notifications to stay updated on flash sales and special promotions, increasing your chances of snagging savings. You can also utilise Smart Shopping , a comparison tool available via the app, to help you compare hotel prices and amenities. This way, you’ll be promptly informed about any price drops or availability changes for your preferred accommodations.
Be flexible with dates: Prices may vary depending on factors such as the hotel's location, star rating, and time of year, so being flexible with your dates could help you save on your stay at a Hove hotel. For those seeking distinctive accommodations, boutique hotels may offer a more personalised experience and potentially better value. When you book with Hotels.com, we will inform you if the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average, and if it appears on the higher side, we might suggest more affordable dates to help you find a better deal.
Consider your location: Hotels in proximity to the city centre usually command higher prices; however, with Hove’s superb public transport connections, you might find an independently run hotel further afield that is still well connected and more likely to be affordable. For those keen to explore alternative, less congested neighbourhoods or even lesser-known nearby towns, there is often excellent value for money. Opting for these alternative destinations could provide a more authentic and budget-friendly experience.
