Hotel stunk really bad. The stairs were rickety. The rooms were OK but had portable air conditioners.

Parking was amazing! We went in middle of renovations. Which didn't help. Staff were extremely helpful and kind. The room itself was well maintained and clean. At night we could hear everything. Not at all sound proof. The air-condition worked very well.

Room had dust build up on heat rad, mold in shower stall, fridge had someone's left over ice cream in freezer, air conditioner was jerry rigged, no elevator for 3 flights of stairs, hallways full of awful odors, parking was complicated through wooden entryway nag locked at far side of building entrance. Poor street people lounging around locked entrance

Clerk was cautioning customers that there were issues and telling customers that they could cancel. He was also taking customers to see rooms before they decided to stay. Access to the hotel was hit or miss based on availability of staff. No parking available on the property. We decided to cancel and booked at another location.

The room was clean and comfortable. Staff was very personable. The parking was secure, indoors and free. The entire hotel is under renovation but our stay was very acceptable for us knowing ahead of time it was a work in progress.

I booked online and it never said the building was under renovations. I'm a 61 year old woman with a bad hip and had to climb three flights of stairs to our room because the elevator was out of service. The suites were nice enough but I would have appreciated a heads up that there was construction going on and I had to climb that many flights with a suitcase.

We cancelled our reservation because when we got there, the elevator was not working and the building was under construction. I have a senior husband and we need elevators to get the luggage into the building so we did not stay.

NOTHING HERE WAS GOOD! DONT STAY! KENRICIA HOTEL IS SO UNSANITARY AND IT SMELLS LIKE DRUGS, NO STAFF IS AROUND AND DONT EVEN GET ME TALKING ABOUT THE CREEPY PARKADE. WE LEFT AND DID NOT STAY.

To be fair it is under renovations. The room we stayed in was CLEAN and nice however there was no hot water at night and no cold water in the morning and no air conditioning. Also there is no bolt on the door (which is alarming for solo female travellers) it was also very apparent that on the event of a fire everyone was going to die. No windows to open and no easy stair accesss.

As of May 2026 the hotel is undergoing renovations. Serious renovations. The room was finished and clean with excellent work showing, but the elevator is nonfunctional and the floors have to be reached on stairs stripped of flooring, carpets, and even paint. If you have difficulty climbing 48 stairs to reach the rooms on the second floor, you may want to spend your stay in Kenora at a different Hotel. If you are interested in comfortable rooms, reasonable rates, excellent facilities within the room, with a fine restaurant, and are not put off by a hefty dose of exercise, then please be aware that the Kenricia Hotel is a wonderful spot for a good night's rest.
