It did the job for the night. I would stay here again, but I do feel it was slightly expensive for what it was. The decor is quite old school and the bed was definitely worn (still ok comfort wise). I didn't have the breakfast so I can't comment on that.

Outdated and in need of a face-lift. I thought I had entered a parallel universe when I went into the bathroom, and was greeted by the bright pink bathroom suite. Like been on the set of an episode from life on Mars. However good sized room with fantastic sea view. Thought the hotel was overpriced as breakfast not included.

We only stopped for one night, our room was ok rear view, everything worked it was clean and tidy and for the price all good. Just no parking at the premises paid £10 for a day and evening.

After a dreadful stay last year I was very apprehensive about a return. But return I did and yet again it was terrible. Poor service at reception, hairs in the 'clean' bed, Towel rail hanging off and a room that was baking hot. The best thing about it was the horrendous restaurant has been closed. Save your money and go elsewhere

The location was great with a lovely sea view. All the staff were pleasant especially Josh who helped with bags . My only complaint is the standard of the room. It's very dated and needs TLC . Plaster falling off some of the walls. No bedside tables. Old shower curtain. Also breakfast was extra. We spoke with other people who was staying at another hotel cheaper rate with breakfast included. I wouldn't book again.

The room wasn’t in good condition there were lots of things that need attention and I nearly fell a couple of times on the stairs due to there being a door at the top stair of every staircase and we weren’t even given the room we had booked and the staff just didn’t care about it nor did they try and help sort it out so we were out in a top room when we’d paid for a sea view room and the prices are so high for the standard of the rooms,I will not be staying there again and would not recommend this hotel

Got to hotel only to be told by staff that the twin bedroom I had booked wasn't available and that they only had a double room for us. Had to complain to the manager to get them to change it. Shame as the room was clean tidy and had good facilities.

The room was clean but lacked a few things .they had a A small alcove to hang your clothes no draws to put your underwear in so we had to keep them in the pockets of our suitcase.door didn’t lock properly you could push it open when you locked it.had work men in fixing the heating only three staff on.whenwe we arrived told us the restaurant was closed because of shortage of staff.if we would have been told this when we applied to book a room by sandbanks we wouldn’t have booked.l believe we should be compensated for this.we go to Barmouth regular and to be honest will not go to sandbanks again.such a let down.p.s what staff they had where friendly.

The staff were lovely and the room was clean. The room we stayed in was in the loft and was a bit dated. When we booked on Expedia we booked an ocean view room however when we got there we were told they didn’t have any ocean view rooms available according to the staff (who was lovely and understanding) it’s a problem with Expedia and that this happened before. So my complaint here is more about Expedia not the hotel staff. Another issue we had was the occupants of the room under ours were very loud till 1am which is not pleasant we could hear everything going on in their room. Probably they also could hear us ( we were in bed at 10pm though so I don’t think it was a problem for them)
