Beautiful View and Wonderful Accomodations!

Our family of four had an amazing stay in the Dondolo suite for our three day visit to Chania. The service was impeccable, food outstanding, and the staff was so accommodating (ie, we forgot a converter plug and they had one for us to use). We also enjoyed a complimentary bottle of Prosecco and charcuterie board on our amazing balcony overlooking Old Town. The location cannot be beat. We also enjoyed spending our down time at Zepos on their comfy couches ordering almost everything on its menu. Overall, we had a wonderful time and would highly recommend the Domus Renier to anyone staying in Chania.

You should stay at Domus Renier

This hotel is outstanding. Old world charm and modern comforts. The entire staff was patient, helpful, and kind. People should seriously consider the wonderful experience this boutique hotel has to offer.

The staff was excellent, especially George who gave us excellent excursion tips and was the friendliest server we had in Greece! All staff were very helpful, hotel is gorgeous. We had the 2 bedroom master suite and it was probably the nicest hotel room we ever had. Restaurants are all walkable and excellent. Stay away from the ones around the waterfront though. They are tourist traps. The only negative was that the shower head in the master suite upstairs was clogged and there was practically zero water pressure. We shared the kids’ bathroom for showers downstairs. I also had to ask for Expedia VIP amenity. They did bring up a small bottle of sparkly wine but I had to ask for it even though it was on the reservation. Breakfast was also excellent!

Everything was beyond words and perfection. The staff was absolutely incredible and thoughtful, including packing us breakfast picnic boxes to go when we had an early hike. Everything was positively amazing and I couldn't suggest any improvements as there simply isn't anything that wasn't phenomenal. Fully recommend dinner at Salis nearby as well. We definitely plan on staying here again next time on Chania!

The staff were very kind and helpful for the most part except that about a week before I arrived, I asked if they could help me book a massage treatment and they said to do that when I arrive. Of course I asked again on arrival and they said they would call me to confirm a booking. I never heard from them. I also asked about seeing some live music and again never heard back about that. It’s a lovely hotel but reception is set up in an atrium so of course any noise carries up to the rooms. There is a very loud restaurant nearby that played loud music (not live) until late into the night. Also, a room nearby had guests that were up at 3:45am and I could hear their floor boards creaking. So not a quiet place to rest at all. Still, the views are spectacular and the hammam shower was wonderful. I’d stay again. Note, I did not receive my Expedia VIP gift.

Beautiful little hotel with hospitable staff who cater to all of your needs. Breakfast was like a fancy brunch to start your day. Our room had a lovely Venetian harbour view and a second floor sitting area. Great location within walking distance to many nice restaurants.

What an absolute gem. So much love and care went into this restoration of this historic 16 century Venetian hotel. We stayed 2 weeks and met everyone who works here. From reception to housekeeping and the talented chef Maria this boutique hotel was a relaxing and cosy place to come back to each afternoon. The beds were heavenly and the toiletries were olive oil based to support Cretan businesses. George , Maria,Ramona,Elena (Sophia of course) were the highlight of our days with their welcoming smiles. As well as everyone else who made us feel special. I can’t stress enough this place is special, not just because of its waterfront location on the Venetian harbour but its owners love for the building and her staff We hope to return here and we were blessed to have found it on Expedia Anita and Paul

Staff was amazingly helpful. For my birthday the staff helped arrange a cake to celebrate my birthday which was one of the best desserts I remember having(something like a dulce de leche mousse cake). The owner Litsa was very kind and made sure we had a table at the restaurant and greeted us every time we came back to the hotel.

Being this was my very first trip to Greece, planning was based off of reviews like this…and this property did not disappoint and was a perfect introduction to Greece. The staff was incredible! They helped guide us with where to eat, what to do and made our stay as comfortable as possible! A big highlight was the free breakfast every morning!! It was INCREDIBLE! Everything was freshly made that morning and was delicious! The location was central and walking distance to everything! The tiny streets and alleys had their own character and felt like each turn led to hidden gems and charming stores. The room itself was small and cozy but never felt claustrophobic. I do wish the bathroom had some sort of ventilation system and shower had more pressure… but that’s just nit-picking… I would absolutely stay here again in a heartbeat and highly recommend it to anyone staying in Chania!

I can’t say enough about how wonderful our experience was here. It truly felt like a VIP experience and the staff were the key to this! We loved George and his attentiveness to us each day. The girls were fantastic in every way and always brightened our morning. Food was amazing and amenities were perfect. The best location possible and very quiet. Truly 10/10!

Our stay was wonderful. The staff was so helpful in sight seeing suggestions and making reservations for us. The location is seriously amazing and the breakfast options unique and delicious. My only complaint is if you have a car, parking is tough and you have to walk your suitcases on cobblestones. We found out after there is a golf cart service but it would have been nice to know that before dragging three suitcases through town.

i Cannot say enough good things about Domus Renier. The staff was always friendly and extremely helpful for all needs- including meeting us in the outside parking area and taking our bags to the hotel. The owner, Lista, was exceptionally kind and thoughtful and spent time with us explaining the hotel’s history as well as being truly interested in our experiences of Crete and the Hotel. We think Crete is a terrific and the Domus Renier is one of the best places we’ve stayed in 8 years of traveling around Europe. The rooms are immaculate , the breakfasts sumptuous, and the atmosphere like family. I would recommend this hotel to everyone.
