Exceptional staff in terms of friendliness, helpfulness, cheerfulness and capability. In particular, Ann and Omar. Thanks for everything! Hotel is very centrally located within Kuala Lumpur. Short walk to Chinatown, where most restaurants are open till at least midnight. A very safe city and neighbourhood. A few homeless people in the area, but that is all over Kuala Lumpur. I would stay here again!

I had been eying tis hotel for some time but because of the Covid I had to put off any travel for some time. I particularly like the location. I'm glad I finally got to stay here. I had a corner room on the 6th floor away from the lift so there was no exterior noise. The room had muzad piped in which I requested the reception to turn off. The was small but it not a problem as I was alone. It was nicely furnished. There was a water heater and tea and coffee sachets as well as two small pieces if choclolate. There were also two small bottles of water which can be refilled at a water dispenser in the lobby..A small safe but I missed a refrigerator. The bathroom was clean and there were toothbrushes with toothpaste. There was also rwo small tubes of shampoo and bodywash. All the chrome surfaces were wiped clean of fingerprints and smudges.

The iuilding is under reconstruction, hotel is closed. I don't know how hotels.com can take reservations in closed hotel. Hotels.com get my money for stay and don't want give me refund. Don't book.

Avenue J hotel was closed for renovations, and no one notified me. I was stranded in the pouring rain with nowhere to enter, so I had to book another hotel at Pacific express hotel central market. A very poor experience. I contacted Expedier via their mobile app, but they only provided AI responses, repeating the same questions without ever resolving the issue. Please issue a refund immediately and compensate me for my losses.
