Terrible wifi in the room, unable to take video calls, and constantly dropping. Front of house seem nonplussed when I brought it up. The room was excellent. Superb design and quality fittings. However a slight sewage smell would appear now and then. Front of house unable to book a taxi and told me to go and use Grab (Uber style). Overall a very nice hotel...let down by a few details.

I used to stay in Gardens quite often, before Covid. This is my first time back after the pandemic, and after their major renovation. I much prefer the previous layout of the rooms - the current one feels too ‘dark’ and is quite cramped, with the wardrobe merged into the toilet/bath area, and the twin beds have significantly shrunk in size compared to before. We had problems with both the aircon and shower thermostats. And the swimming pool wasn’t well maintained at all - algae, and the water level was definitely not at 1.2m, was very low! While overall the hotel is of course “new”-ish and clean, and staff are up to standard, I personally didn’t have a great experience compared to all the years before, and not likely to return, considering the price as well.

I think this hotel is nice. My only issue i have is there is no door to the toilet. If you do any business in the toilet, it smell the whole room.
