Zona Hotelera
Tulum's Zona Hotelera blends eco-luxury with nature along pristine Caribbean beaches. Turquoise waters meet swaying palms at this trendy coastal strip featuring high-end resorts between jungle and sea. Mayan ruins perch dramatically on seaside cliffs, while beach clubs offer perfect sunset views. Bike paths connect stunning cenotes, coral reefs, and white sand beaches. Upscale beachfront restaurants serve fresh ceviche and creative Mexican fusion cuisine, often requiring reservations for ocean-view tables. Visitors typically stay in thatched-roof luxury accommodation or boutique hotels with all-inclusive options, getting around via hotel shuttles, taxis, or rental bikes on the coastal road.

Zama
Zama's pristine beaches and luxury eco-lodges create the ultimate escape in Tulum. Boutique hotels blend seamlessly with nature, offering private terraces and stunning ocean views. Yoga pavilions frame dramatic sunrises while exclusive beach clubs serve up refreshing cocktails by infinity pools. Tulum National Park and nearby cenotes provide natural swimming holes surrounded by limestone caves. Contemporary Mexican cuisine dominates the dining scene with fresh ceviches and farm-to-table concepts. Most properties offer golf cart shuttles and bicycle paths instead of cars. When you're ready to explore beyond this tranquil paradise, taxis can whisk you to Tulum town in just 10 minutes.

La Veleta
La Veleta brings the quieter side of Tulum to life with tree-lined residential streets hiding delightful surprises. Wellness centers with thatched roofs and yoga studios tucked behind tropical gardens give this emerging area its bohemian soul. Wander through the Holistika Art Walk or browse handmade textiles at eco-conscious shops while enjoying the authentic local vibe far from tourist crowds. Biking is the transport of choice here, with rental options making it easy to cruise the dirt roads or head to the beaches just 15 minutes away. Budget-friendly guesthouses and eco-lodges offer significantly cheaper stays than beachfront alternatives, while small cafés serve fresh juices and organic fare that won't empty your wallet.

Tulum City Center
Tulum City Centre buzzes with authentic Mexican charm, where colonial buildings surround the lively central plaza. Dos Aguas Park provides a shady retreat from exploring vibrant markets filled with handcrafted Mayan textiles and jade carvings. Colourful murals depicting ancient history adorn weathered walls while the scent of fresh tortillas fills the air. Family-run cocinas económicas serve delicious Yucatecan specialities like cochinita pibil for a fraction of beach zone prices. Budget hostels and mid-range hotels offer genuine Mexican hospitality without the tourist markup. Colectivos and bike rentals make getting to the famous ruins and beaches quick and affordable.

Villas Tulum
Villas Tulum combines Caribbean paradise with luxurious living steps away from powder-soft beaches. Ancient Mayan ruins stand watch nearby while private cenotes offer crystal-clear swimming holes that tourists from city centre Tulum can only dream about. Yoga pavilions, wellness spas, and seaside cocktail spots create the ultimate relaxation playground for those seeking both adventure and tranquility. Boutique eco-hotels and upscale villas with private pools dominate the accommodation scene. Most visitors navigate the car-restricted zones by bicycle or golf cart along wooden boardwalks that wind through lush jungle. Farm-to-table restaurants serve fresh seafood and Yucatecan cuisine as howler monkeys call in the distance.

Learn more about Tulum
Ancient Mayan ruins cling to seaside cliffs, where iguanas sun themselves on stones that once housed royalty. The Caribbean's impossibly blue waters beckon below, perfect for cooling off after exploring archaeological wonders. Grab a bicycle to reach the Gran Cenote, a crystal-clear sinkhole where freshwater swimming feels like floating in liquid glass. The bohemian town centre balances yoga studios with taco stands where locals debate which serves the best pastor. Beyond the famous ruins, visit Cobá where climbing the ancient pyramid offers jungle views stretching to the horizon. After sunset, beachfront restaurants illuminate the sand with candles while waves provide the soundtrack to meals of fresh-caught fish.

"Excelente"
KAN Tulum Hotel
"Loved everything. Every single thing about the hotel. Cant wait to come again."
Xambé
"Just amazing all together, while they don’t have a restaurant or food on property there is a Go mart down the street (walking distance) & I was able to store everything in the fridge for the duration of my stay. Sweet and kind staff, very accommodating and helpful & it’s just as beautiful in person as in the pictures!!"
Dreams Tulum Resort & Spa - All Inclusive
"This property is centrally located in Tulum so if you’re planning any excursions everything is only 10-15 minutes away. The property itself was under renovation during our visit so there were rolling closures in restaurants and main building. A little annoying but we managed. Glad to see there were renovating as it was in dire need. It’s a dated property but looking past that the staff helped make it great. The live music and shows in the evening were also above average. We spent most of our time on the beach but unfortunately the sea grass was so abundant it made swimming or simply enjoying the sight of the water troubling. The “eco-friendly “ hotels have not figured this out yet and is not limited to this hotel. Special shout out to the VIP concierge team specifically, Gaysler, Reyes, Laura, Daniel and Luisa. Also a shout out to the head chef Efraim who prepared several special meals for us. This team went well above and beyond during an otherwise average stay making it great."
Hotel Milam, Michelin Key winner
"10/10 definitely recommend if your looking for a peaceful relaxing atmosphere"
Hotel Shibari Tulum - Restaurant & Cenote Club
"The cenote was amazing. The hotel was clear and secured. Love the big doors to enter when going in and out of the hotel. The staff were really nice, polite and took care of us. My husband's. Friends and I would stay here again."
BE Destination Tulum
"Roger and Eifram great service"
Hotel Bardo Adults Only
"Staff and amenities were spectacular! Very personal experience and felt right at home, would definitely come back."
La Zebra Tulum - a Small Luxury Hotel
"Everything about our stay at La Zebra was perfect! If you want a small hotel with every detail considered, where the staff are ALL amazing, kind, warm and so friendly then La Zebra is for you. A beautifully styled hotel, complete with every modern touch yet embracing Mexican art and culture, it is the kind of place where you can totally relax. The food and drinks were incredible, our particular favourite was the ceviche! The staff became more like old friends, nothing was ever too much trouble. We stayed for 2 weeks and honestly wished we could have stayed longer! We would not hesitate to recommend this special place and cannot wait to return!!"
