Had everything we needed for our stay.
Easy check in and clerk was very helpful. Our room was by a side door which made parking simple. Breakfast could have had a few more options. Only orange juice and water were available the two days we were there. It’s located at the end of town which I’m sure would make it quiet during the busy summer months.

We stayed a week as our home base for exploring South Dakota. The location in Custer is convenient for exploring the Black Hills region. The hotel met our needs overall. Breakfast was good and kept well stocked each day. Typical hotel fare but good to get the day started. Front desk staff was courteous but not super friendly. The room seemed a bit tired and in need of updates. The lighting in both the room and bathroom is not very bright and could be improved. The bathroom fan is not sufficient and the bathroom steams up way too much. Had to use the blow dryer to try to dry the mirror every day. However, the water pressure was good and plenty of hot water. Maid service was hit or miss. They completely missed one day and we had to go to the desk to get toilet paper and other necessities. Other days they left dirty towels and other days were good. There aren’t many options in Custer so I would probably still stay here again if in the area. The price is a fair value. There is a competing hotel chain next door that was almost twice as much. Hubby and I joked about whether the grass was greener over there. But ultimately we decided probably not. Or certainly not worth almost double the money. Overall a decent stay and just a few small improvements would bump the rating from average to good.

Recently upgraded, and oh so nice. Clean room, decent food, friendly service. Pillows are always a big hit or miss. They offered firm and soft pillows on each bed. Very comfortable.

This is a wonderful place to stay at while in Custer. Everything is clean and the breakfast is great. Beds are comfortable and the staff was so helpful. We also enjoyed the mini golf right next door.
