4 nights at the Hive Cancun
The sauna door was broken (due to a storm I was told) no access to the steam room or Temazcal apparently an extra fee managed by the Spa) never seen it used once not even by spa employees. They were off at all times. The jacuzzi worked great the first night then cold after that the last night it was a warm but not hot. A plus they do allow your own drinks and snacks at the jacuzzi/ pool area. There is a bar area on the first floor near the pool but drinks and food are pricey. One night they had live entertainment for one hour on the first floor near the pool area. They advertise a bar on the 4th floor but it's closed, there is a seating area. The Continental breakfast was only a small plate of fruit, coffee and or a glass of juice. Everything else was a extra charge. There is a 7/11 in the same parking lot, and a few places to eat and a karaoke bar within walking distance. Not close to the city so plan your transportation wisely.

Buen hotel

6/10 Good

The Continental breakfast consists of coffee, juice, a bowl of fruits, and two small croissants. The Wi-Fi system is horrible. Most tours won't be able to pick you up at the hotel. Overall, the experience was okay, and the staff did a good job. However, I won't recommend the hotel. I would not suggest this for any romantic travel.

Great place to stay if you’re looking for something a little bit away from the hotel zone. Beautiful hotel and comfy bed with a nice roof top private pool. All staff was nice and helpful. Little far from some restaurant so definitely plan to have a taxi on call

Staff at the front desk were very helpful and professional. The room was a good size and layout. Pool was dirty and not well maintained. Beautiful areas for the patio bar and rooftop restaurant, but there was no one around so they felt deserted. We went to the rooftop for sunset on Saturday evening and there was not a soul (customer or worker) at the restaurant or bar. The door to the room must have been thin or hollow, as inside the room you could hear all the noise from the street as if the door was open. This place feels like it has a lot of potential, but must not get enough business to support the staff required to make it great. Again, the staff we dealt with were good, it was just limited to the front desk.

The hotel was located far from the tourist area and had limited restaurant options. The pool area was outdated and the water was dirty. The restaurant food was bland. The staff wouldn’t provide towels the second day.

Just “ok”
We stayed for one night after we made a last minute change before our stay in Playa Del Carmen. It was just “ok” the room definitely was not clean as it should’ve been. There was hair on the sink as if someone shaved that wasn’t cleaned up. Dead bugs on the floor, the shower floor looked like it had water mildew and the shower head was not spraying well at all. The room smelled of mildew and there were no hand or wash cloths, only large towels. The service was great when we checked in. When we checked out they accused us of eating some chocolate from the minibar, which we did not. Just a weird exchange.

Did not have hot water for the first few days, Also there was miscommunication with staff , and no message or clear communication that there is a a deposit upon arrival. Due to construction and traffic you can hear many different noises

Nice place but with bad service, incomplete kit of coffee supplies, when requested to complete it they never did, on one of the two days of stay they operated the continental breakfast included in the rate the second day it did not operate, but in the room next door They did bring them coffee and fruit cocktail. I thought the rate was higher than normal due to the hurricane that would happen around Tulum. When I was checking out, they offered a room at a lower rate to a potential client who asked about room availability.

Loved the peace and quiet we experienced here during our stay. Staff was very attentive and ready to help at any moment. The pools are great except the tub it’s that it didn’t work during our stay. The hydrotherapy was also very nice. The food here is extremely good. The price for food at the restaurant is ok but food is totally worth it. There are good places to eat minutes away and although some are 30 minute walks it’s still great food. We felt safe our entire time here. Although it is some ways from the ocean (about 25 minutes) one can get rides there and back. The 7 Eleven downstairs came in clutch during our stay as well has essential needs in case you’re missing some. Totally recommend this hotel.

The staff was friendly. The decor was fine - trying to be BOHO like everything else in the cancun to Tulum corridor. Their pool and bar area is nice. The dinner food was pretty good. Unfortunately our room smelled like mildew. The staff said this was due to recent heavy rain but the smell was strong. The hotel is on a busy street and the door to the room directly faces said street which is fairly noisy.

The room was cleaned very well everyday. Unfortunately when rain felll water came into my room. The staff were friendly, but the continental breakfast was the absolute worst, felt as though you were begging for breakfast, its either juice or coffee, some fruits and that it. It was ao not worth it, i didnt bother to go 2 days for what they consider breakfast.
