NEVER EVER again.
NOT secure, even a little bit. Nobody at desk most of the time, they question nobody getting in elevators. Bathroom was not clean, showers had crud in the grout. I came in during the day, maids were cleaning and had placed dirty soiled linens from bed she was making on my bed, which i found cringe. Pillows were flat like crosswalk paint, 10$ charge to rent another pillow.

Absolutely terrific
Solo female traveler for the first time and it was absolutely amazing. The staff was adorable and very helpful. I was cold on the first night they added an extra blanket the next day and adjusted the room temperature. The bathrooms are shared. I was absolutely horrified I had to share them with everyone but they were spotless every day. The hotel is a few minutes away from downtown. I will come back once I'm in Boston again :-)

Looked nice but bit inconvenient
I've stayed in hostels many times in the past. This one is clean, has nice location, and staff is kind. However, a lot of things felt inexperiencely run. Like many pointed out, it needs more shelves and hooks. Staff need to be trained more. Curtains and blinds need some kind of noise cancelling measure. Also some rooms are filled with 17 beds... in one room! If one person snores, 16 people are out of sleep. Also, there is no kitchen or fridge. That was a big minus for me. The bed was good. I wouldn't stay again.

Very underwhelming, would not return
Despite being a new construction, the facilities were very clearly fashioned in a blatantly haphazard manner to cut costs. In comical fashion the soap dispenser fell off the wall due to barely being attached to the drywall with loose studs, the shower tile was jaggedly cut to make room for the plumbing, the backsplash of the sinks are barely grouted and seep water behind the wall, the bathroom floors are constantly wet due to poor design/layout, and the shower head holder snapped immediately after being adjusted. On top of that the bathrooms and towels always had an odor from not being well cleaned and said cheap towels would constantly pill and leave fabric on your skin after drying yourself. The sleeping arrangements were inconvenient and uncomfortable – patrons would regularly talk on phones in the middle of the night and the curtains to close the pods are incredibly loud and woke me up each time someone entered the room. The staff is very friendly, which of course was a pleasure, but on the whole my stay here was not enjoyable and I would not return, nor recommend this to anyone who is looking for any degree of comfort or convenience, particularly given the cost.

Worth It
The service and attention to guest experience was exceptional. It made my stay feel private, yet accesible to city life. I will be staying at Meco during my future trips to Boston. The location and prcing were hard to beat, an the staff's flexibility and aim to please was a breath of fresh air.

Excellent price and location for what it is. Staff head great attitude , but seem to still be working out the kinks of this new place. It would be good if one of the rooms was designated, a quiet room, similar to how it is done on train cars. Only a real bad part of my short staywas other men talking when I was trying to sleep. Could not put in earplugs because I needed an alarm to catch a flight.

The Front Desk was very friendly. The hotel is small, quiet, and clean. This was my first visit to a 'hostel' style hotel. It was a positive experience and I would stay here again. If more 'hostels' were like this establishment, I think more people would be willing to book stays at these types of facilities.

not ready to receive paying guests...the worst eve
I can't recall a time like this stay, ever before: every time we came back to the hotel, the keys were not working. Noisy rooms. A feeling that everything was under construction. For the price, I had higher expectations. In the middle of the night we were woken up, because the front desk clerk was hammering our door, trying to check in another guest...into our family room?!!?? When the AC broke down on several floors, we had to get another place to stay, since these "cabin rooms" do not have windows to the outside, and the lack of oxygen and hi temps was too much. Don't book your stay here....yet!
