Just for a one night stay as transit before heading to Europe, and wanted to be in downtown to get a feel of Toronto. Location is great with this hotel, cheap compared to what was available.
The hotel structure and the room is old but what matters the most all checked the boxes : comfy bed, cleanliness and privacy (there are cheaper options with shared bathroom, I got one with private).
The lady that helped me check in did it as her job, without much smile or show any willingness to chat. She didn't even understand at first why I could not enter the building ("you need your room badge !" which of course I didn't have). And, after, when you get in and out of the hotel, you must pass by her counter, and she would act as if you don't exist. Not happy to be here obviously, but not going to complain.
In all, it's still a great value and I would come back there if Toronto in on my path again.
