Nice mid size up North town. Close to a few other towns that are interesting/nice to visit, such as Sleeping Bear Dunes area (Empire and Glen Arbor), and Traverse City which we also visited on our stay. Elberta is 5 min away and has some dining.

"Have stayed at the Frankfort Hotel 3 times! It’s charming! Every room is decorated differently, as seen on the website. Staff are friendly & attentive. Parking is on-site & free. Room & common areas are very clean & quiet. It’s an easy 5 minute walk from the hotel to the Lake & beach in one direction & to the shops & restaurants on Main Street in the other direction. Can walk all the way up & down the busiest section of Main Street without moving your car. It’s a lovely place to stay!"
