Unsafe environment and this listing is a “3rd party app” meaning that you book through Expedia but the hotel is formally listed on some obscure travel service.
There is an electronic code gate. But there’s only a flimsy lock on your door. No CCTV coverage for room 6. If you’re in that room you’re vulnerable to theft or worse.
One night a group of men were sitting in the courtyard getting drunk. I went out to get a food delivery and realized how rowdy they were becoming. It occurred to me that with no cctv coverage of my room, I was actually in a dangerous situation, that hotel is a fortress if you’re trying to get in.
But if you’re already in, then it’s super easy to get into another room.
I had an incident where the cctv needed to be checked and the manager/owner who completely ignores all aspects of the hotel except for getting the money, just misdirected the issue then blocked me on WhatsApp. The maid was not a problem. The guest in room 5 and the manager was a problem.
Management lives in the front room with the deadbolt on the door. All other rooms have a flimsy lock. So easy to open with a credit card or flathead screwdriver. There’s cctv for the stairs and room 4. No camera covers room 5/6.
