Sterling Darjeeling
"Sterling Darjeeling is a great place to stay for a trip to the area. The location is much better than anything close to the mall. You can avoid all the traffic and noise of central Darjeeling. Views of the valley and surround mountains are great. The staff is very helpful. If you’re traveling from the airport, you will get to the property much faster (hours) than any place close to the mall because of all the traffic even though it’s only a few kilometers away. I would highly recommend Sterling Darjeeling."
Planter's Heritage by Cilantro Collections - Mall Road
"The staff were great. The location was perfect and close to main Darjeeling mall. The floors in the room and multiple junctions in the lobby area are uneven which may cause discomfort and extra attention especially for elderly people."
Udaan Dekeling Resort Darjeeling
"Was not aware that the hotel doesn't offer eggs or alcohol. They should have mentioned on their website, especially for international guests."
The Elgin, Darjeeling
"Building is amazing perched on the hillside and the staff were lovely."

During your visit, you can hike through stunning natural parks, admire the breathtaking mountain scenery, witness spectacular sunrises, explore historical temples, and even engage in rock climbing. With its rich history and vibrant culture, Darjeeling offers great value for money for those looking to immerse themselves in its unique experiences.
- Look for last-minute deals on Hotels.com: To uncover last-minute deals to Darjeeling on Hotels.com, begin by exploring the DealsOpens in a new window or Last-Minute Deals sections, where you may discover discounted hotel rates as your travel date approaches. It’s also beneficial to enable email alerts or push notifications from Hotels.com to stay updated on flash sales and exclusive promotions, helping you seize opportunities to save. Additionally, the Smart Shopping feature within the app allows you to compare hotel prices and amenities, ensuring that if rooms become available or prices drop, you're more likely to be the first to know and secure your last-minute escape.
- Be flexible with dates: Prices may fluctuate due to various factors, including the hotel's location, star rating, and the time of year. Therefore, being flexible with your travel dates could help you find a better deal for your stay in a Darjeeling hotel. If you're interested in a distinctive experience, boutique hotels might provide a more personalised touch and, at times, better value. When you make a reservation through Hotels.com, we will inform you whether the price for your chosen dates is above or below the average. If it appears to be on the higher side, we may suggest alternative dates that could offer more affordable options.
- Consider your location: Opting to stay nearer to major attractions or city centres can bring added convenience, but it often tends to come with higher expenses. For more budget-friendly options, consider hotels in less central areas or neighbourhoods, striking a balance between cost and accessibility to the sites you intend to visit. You might also look into independent hotels located a bit further out, as they often provide a more authentic and economical experience.
