I booked this terrible place for 5 nights because the online photographs deceived me. I checked out the next morning. I checked in on the 2nd of September super late, after 10 p.m., because of my flight. The next morning, which was the 3rd of September, I checked out. No refund was approved by the manager of the Broadmoor Motel (not hotel). Expedia kept my booking as current on my profile even though I rebooked a hotel the very next day.
The hotel itself doesn’t look like the pictures; it is very much run down, with a stinky (week and cigarettes smell) hallway. They even have a security guard who was busy cutting his nails on the couch. The internet speed is so slow it is impossible to use, and the elevator is slower than the internet speed—stairs are faster. The area around the hotel is sketchy and not safe to walk around at night. There is no nightlife in that neighborhood. The experience of one night was unpleasant and shocking. I am fighting for a refund for the 4 nights that I left, but they choose to keep it in a pretend mode that the booking was current. I say if you respect yourself and want a Miami experience, avoid the Broadmoor at all costs.
