A bit dirty but overall nice and affordable
Great location and affordable for a hotel. I was prepared for the small room i got due to reading reviews and i could go to the reception to heat up food. The personell was also kind, although they did not know english. My biggest issue was the hygiene in my room, specifically in the shower room where i saw that the staff have been sloppy around the corners. Some corners had turned dark even, looking like early stages of mold. But then again, i felt i got what i paid for, and i would seriously reconsider revisiting since the quality otherwise was really good, and the location was great. Just a short walk from ueno station where you could basically get anywhere you wanted.

Nice clean new hotel just 5 minutes walking from Ueno station and street market, and 15 minutes walking from Asakusa. Rooms a bit small (although that's the "standard" for this category of hotels in Tokyo). Cleaning of the room only when asked, which can be confusing.

Tiny room with questionable cleanliness
The room was very tiny (could barely open up my luggage on the floor and, even as a relatively small person, I had difficulties turning around in the shower cabin) - but this was something that I was prepared for. What I wasn't prepared for was the sub-pat hygiene and cleanliness level: there was a considerable amount of dust collected at the corners of the carpet and the sheets had some stains that looked like blood.
