Good but not great
Booked two rooms during our four nights stay in Melbourne. We were told our booking for the two rooms weren't recorded as one booking, which was weird because we booked under one booking reference. Not sure if thats a mixup from hotels.com or park hyatt. Regardless, we ended up not staying at the same floor, which is not such a big deal.
Our room was spacious but the purpose of the design seem very confusing. There are two access to the bathroom, one of which shines through the bedroom if we turn on the light, which was very disturbing when we need to go to the bathroom at night. We have water temperature that can only go so hot or so cold, and also just a number of seating areas maybe to fill up the room?
One of the most frustrating thing was the balcony windows. I'm guessing the balcony used to be accesible but not anymore? Regardless, our sleep were disturbed greatly by sounds of wind sweeping through the gaps of these windows. It was horrible! I have pointed this out to the front desk but I understand its not a one night fix.
I must say, however, the service was great. We felt very welcomed, and everyone was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, our experience also included the actual stay in the room which wasn't too good.
Location wise, its good that its close enough to the main streets but not too close that its noisy. However, i definitely see other hotels that can be more convenient location wise.
