Let me start off by saying that the property was extremely clean. I did not notice a drop of garbage on the grounds. The property it self is a bit outdated. I had to switch rooms because the AC in my initial room did not work. They switched me over to another room that was already occupied, and I opened the door and walked in on another patron! They then switched me again where the elevator button did not work for the 6th floor. I would have to continuously push the button for it to work.
The rooms are pretty basic… and they do not supply wash cloths automatically. It was nice however that the refrigerator would be restocked daily with sodas, waters, beers and snacks.
The property has 1 large pool, a lobby bar, a beach bar, and 2 places to eat (the other restaurant was under renovation). The food at the Mexican restaurant was really good 10/10. The menu changes daily, but you have to make reservations, so make sure you book them early.
There is really not much to do on grounds here, so if you’re looking for a party hotel, this is definitely NOT it. The good thing is that it is close to other hotels and the downtown area.
-WOMEN TRAVELERS- be wary of the beach area. There’s men out there that I’m not sure if they work for the hotel or not, but they try to get you to go out with them to Coco Bongo. One tried to get me to go to his home and got extremely angry when I did not go with him.
