Unauthorized charging
I booked option book now pay later at property. I was about 2 hours out of town heading to my destination and I get an alert that I was charged. I checked my account and see that I was charged half the cost of my stay. Which was only 2 nights. I called the concierge and she didn’t know what happened and called it a “glitch” so I asked what time is check in and she said 4 PM. This is Hollister CA and they are not allowing checking in until 4? That’s ridiculous. But whatever. I get there and check in at around 4 and the rest of the bill was charged. So my full 2 nights and deposit were charged. Next morning I wake up and I get charged again for another nights which was 178. So by this time I’m already charged a total 534 and that’s not including the holding deposit. I call the front desk and front desk said they will have the manager call me when they go in which was in 10 min. This is at 8 in the morning. I finally get ready and go to the front desk to talk to front desk and the girl says she’s the manager. I was annoyed and said I’ve been waiting for you to contact me about the issue with my bill. She said “oh yeah, we were just looking at that “ which was 3 hours later. So I’m annoyed and asked what are they going to do about this because they charged me twice without my permission. She said the refund will take 7-14 business days. I just stared at her with an obvious look that showed I was not satisfied. Her customer service was horrible. I won’t be staying here anymore.
