In Mel to catch up with family. Great location for train, trams, bike hire, bars, pubs etc and to stock appt from supermarket and bottle-o. Reception staff super helpful and everything worked like clockwork. The trainline is close (and noisy to start with) but close the windows and it’s quite acceptable (I’m a light sleeper and no probs). View great from 19th floor. I’d stay again in a heartbeat.

No negative feedback about the staff, all staff were friendly and helpful. The hotel itself is in a very noisy location and the bed and pillow comfort is terrible.

We had a comfort studio without balcony which has a 2 burner stovetop no oven , microwave,toaster, kettle and cooking utensils. The unit was nicely fitted out and modern and good value. The only downside was the noise from the trains on the elevated track opposite .

No cleaning done in all our 5 days and 4 nights stay. They did offer to change the towels tho. The apartment assigned to us was at the 3rd flr and if you’re a light sleeper try to request a room in a much higher flr as you can still hear the street noise from the 3rd flr. The apartment is equipped with smart TV, washing machine, fridge, dishwasher, kettle, toaster, oven and gas range. Air conditioner is located in the living room only. Wifi connectivity is good. Water pressure is ok. Less than 10 min walk to Southern Cross station and there’s a free tram stop in front of the hotel.

Amazing View!

✨ La vue, la vue… et encore la vue ! Depuis le 23ᵉ étage, le panorama sur Southbank est absolument magnifique. La nuit, on a presque l’impression de dormir à la belle étoile tant le spectacle des lumières est magique. L’appartement est spacieux, propre et parfaitement équipé, on s’y sent comme à la maison. Sa localisation est idéale : à deux pas de la gare de Southern Cross (pratique pour rejoindre l’aéroport en 30 minutes avec le Skybus) et dans la zone de transport gratuit, ce qui permet de se déplacer facilement en tram tout en restant à quelques minutes à pied du centre-ville. Seul petit bémol : la proximité avec les rails entraîne des bruits de trains jusqu’à minuit... Mais cela reste tout à fait supportable pour un court séjour, et largement compensé par la vue imprenable. Si vous êtes sensible au bruit, évitez donc de séjourner dans le quartier.

The view was surprisingly amazing - the lights at Southbank at night and along the Yarra River to the MCG in daylight. The room was clean and bigger than expected. It’s in the free transport zone so you can jump onto the passing trams but still an easy walk along Flinders Street to the city centre. Also walked to South Melbourne Market. A really good base for my 5 days in Melbourne. Also a short walk to Southern Cross station where there is a Woolworths

If you don't need sleep ...

No sleep. The train noise was so loud that it was the most disrupted sleep I've had in a long time. The 'bedroom' is glass walled without a curtain, so bad luck if you had a partner with a different sleep schedule. The aircon is only in the main room, not the bedroom. If you want your room serviced, it's an extra $30 per service (noting that they will give you new towels for free). It was also grubby. A body cream with the seal broken was in the bathroom, there was dust all over the aircon and telephone, stains on the ironibg board cover, crack through the coffee pot. The staff were all very professional and the bed was comfortable.

Amazing value

Amazing value! Got a studio and it was really nicely furnished and very spacious for what I paid. It is a great location, with plenty of transport and good food options nearby. The only trade off is you can hear the commuting trains in the morning (rest of the night was fine). All hotels have trade offs, and for me this was pretty minor as I was up early anyway. Staff were also great. All in all, loved my stay and would be more than happy to book again.
