Acro&Polis is a great place to stay in the heart of Plaka, close to all the major ruins and nearby to other neighborhoods such as Monastiraki and Psyri. It was perfect for our recent short stay in Athens. As a family of three, the Athena room was just right for us, a welcoming, well-appointed room with space for three to sleep, a small kitchenette, and a private entrance just next to the main hotel. From the moment we booked, all the way through our stay, the owner, Sakis, was very helpful and friendly, ensuring we had a smooth arrival and a great stay. He greeted us when we got to the hotel and helped coordinate pickup and drop off service from the airport with one of his contacts, who was also very nice and helpful. His cleaning staff arrives daily and were friendly and efficient and kept the rooms very clean. The property also has a nice rooftop with amazing views of the area, including the Acropolis. There are plenty of restaurants and shops nearby, making it easy to step out in between sight seeing. And Sakis is happy to help with food and tour recommendations. Overall, Arco&Polis is a well run place with a great owner and staff in a wonderful location. Our stay exceeded our expectations. Thank you!

Booking was straightforward and contact with the owner was easy (he responded promptly and was a very helpful man). The rooms were spotlessly clean (cleaned daily) and very comfortable. The rooftop terrace is amazing - right under the Acropolis with amazing views of both the Acropolis and the city. The location is fabulous, just a 10-15 minute walk from the train station and a gentle 5-10 minute walk to the Acropolis. Many other attractions, bars, cafes and restaurants are within a few minutes walk. I would recommend it.

Epic views in the heart of Plaka!

Sakis was amazing and the place is perfect! Right in the heart of Plaka and walking distance from everything. The rooftop has breathtaking views!!!! And we had it all to our selves! Sakis met us on arrival and made us feel right at home. Would stay again.

The staff is friendly and we were greeted as soon as we arrived by taxi and shown our room. The bed was comfortable and the rooms very clean. We appreciated the space of a separate kitchen & living area. The historic sites are close by/walkable. There are lots of shops and restaurants nearby including a coffee shop directly across the street. Enjoyed our stay at this charming boutique hotel!

The best home away from home in Athens

This is the most amazing gem in Athens. It’s very central, quiet and traditional in the very heart of town. You can walk everywhere. The ground floor apartment is wonderful for mobility. The roof view is just stunning - day or night. This is a home away from home and I could not have asked for a better place to be in Athens. Book early - you will live it. It is in the heart of the Plaka so it can be tricky for large vehicles to get there. Very walkable. Thank you Sakis.

Best in Athens

We loved our stay in Athens at Acro&Polis. Lovely appartment in the heart of Plaka. Many restaurants at walking distance. It was cleaned everyday, and the owner was really easy to reach. The Dining room is on the small size. But we didn’t used it much, as we prefered to eat at restaurants. Finally, he stunning rooftop terrace with many tables and chairs is just amazing. We would definitely stay there again !

Loved this property!!! It made me feel as if I am local, I wish I couldv'e stayed longer. Location is perfect for doing everything you need to in Athens. Shopping, sightseeing, public transportation. The Athena room gorgeous, the rooftop such a perfect place for a night cap. Sakis communication was wonderful 100% reccomend staying here.
