Tintagel is well known for its castle and seaside, featuring attractions such as St Nectan's Glen and Trebarwith Beach. This historical city has something for everyone including bars and sights like Merlins Cave and Tintagel Castle—all within a small-town setting.
Can recommend the coastal walk, Merlin's cave and the island. Easy walk to the shops if you need anything, with "useful" shops as well as the tourist shops

Lovely views but the roads getting there were narrow. It gets even more narrow when you drive to Port Issac. But overall, a wonderful experience.

Take it all with a large pinch of salt and enjoy! Despite all the money-making myth and legend, a lot was happening in the area long ago.

We went down to the beach and it was absolutely Gorgeous! We visited with the locals.
"What a little gem! Absolutely loved everything about this place. The surrounding area is beautifully tended to and has a real upmarket feel about it. Everything you need in the hut, board games, fan, heater, hairdryer. Can’t fault it. Would highly recommend. "
"Loved find! We stayed one night in the cottage, which has a great living/dining area with double bedroom and bathroom downstairs. The pub is characterful, contrasted by the dining area which is quite a large, open modern addition. The breakfast was very good. We arrived at 4 o'clock on a Sunday afternoon, very hungry and I was a little disappointed to find that the only food left available for us would be fish and chips, as everything else had run out (restaurant closes at 5 on Sunday), but the fish was fantastic. Nice and quiet. The bedroom did have quite damp smell, but was quiet and comfortable. Would stay again. "
"Character Inn made famous in a book by Daphne DuMaurier. Lots of atmosphere and history of the times.
Splendid room in the newish annex, comfortable bed, great food and a perfect spot to break our journey.

"We've come out for my 30th had a meal in the restaurant. The staff were lovely the food delicious and they even sang to me for my birthday ! Our check in was fab they were very laid back as we were worried about timings because we had a gin tasting event we were going to first. The staff put us as ease when we spoke to them. We did get confused where to park so parked up the road instead of the car park as our satnav took us to the wrong side of the building. How ever the car is fine parked along the road where it is. The room is lovely and unique. I love how it's decorated it doesn't feel overly uniform it's nice and homely and sea themed decor. The bed is extremly comfy. I like that it has a kettle and drinks available. The bath is great. Bathroom very clean. Water temperature great. The walls arnt overly sound proof but that's to be expected with Cornish architecture. I love the beams and the light fixture fits fab with the sea theme. A big bonus is breakfast is included with our stay ! So I look forward to that later. Would definitely recommend coming here again. Over all we've had a lovely stay thank you ! "
"Absolutely beautiful hotel in the old jail, so many of the original features with a modern feel. Breakfast was incredible, best eggs Benedict I’ve ever had and the continental selection was amazing. "
"I wanted to check in fast and visit an important attraction before they closed. The reception lady indicated that by law she had to check us in right away and show us the room. I asked if I could leave my bags in the lobby and check in after and she said, "If I did that she could not grantee she could check us in." because she would be too busy. I was thinking that she had no choice in the matter to do so and if I had arrived at 8pm she would have to check me in if she liked it or not. ??"
" Camelot Castle Hotel
is a fantastic place to see and even better to stay.
We had a lovely room overlooking the sea, with views extending along the coast and over to the ruins of Camelot Castle.
the staff are excellent, and as we were leaving, we got the chance to meet Ted, the wonderful artist who lives and paints at the Castle.
Thank you, Ted, for showing us around your studio and enlightening me on your art. Fantastic, Thanks again, Dave Hill

"All of the staff were very friendly, yet professional. When I rang to say that it was my friend’s birthday, Maisie was able to recommend some lovely lunch venues. And, when we arrived she, and the other staff wished us a happy stay, and they had decorated the room for my friend. They made our stay special!"
