Would definitely stay again.
Checked in about midnight and the desk staff was very friendly and helpful. Room was very clean and bed and pillows were very comfortable! Was a decent price too!

Comfortable, affordable and intriguing
Miss pac man for a quarter was awesome. The steam room was great. The staff was lovely. The rates were good. There were real train employees who stay here in that was great local color.

Our room was newly renovated and clean. The breakfast was good with hot options. There is a train that is audible overnight, so light sleepers may want to wear earplugs. The staff was friendly and helpful. We would stay here again!

We were passing through and Locomotive was a great stop. It is older, and sort of dark on the bottom floor, but once we were in our room we realized how clean it was and very comfortable. We felt very safe. The front desk was very friendly and the breakfast provided a very decent start to the day.

Overall a nice place to stay. While it was older, it was well kept up and clean. Albertsons grocery store directly across the street and other walkable restaurants. 3 or 4 gas stations on the same street as well. Staff is wonderful, beds were comfortable and you'll always be on the first floor. As we were promised, a great breakfast!! Would recommend.

It was an older motel but remodeled. Clean and roomy. Because it is called locomotive there is a train that runs by,. But it was not bad. Breakfast was not the greatest For me I needed a bed to sleep the night and get up early to start driving to next destination. It fit!

Everything was close to the hotel. Awesome staff. Shopping super close. Ill be back. And the cozy gym behind the hotel is better than any Tacoma/Seattle gym hands down.

Great stay at a good price.
Very nice hotel, comfortable, clean and spacious rooms. Only two minor problems, spray from shower head is weak and trains go by, which might be problem for some. Not for us. Also, there are a lot of fast food restaurants around, but only one regular restaurant, which is next door. It is a Mexican restaurant and it is very good. Great stay at good price.

False advertisement
We were looking for a place that had a pool for my grandchildren to stay active and keep them occupied while other family members were doing last minute preparations for a family funeral. I called prior to making reservations to ensure hot tub/pool were operational were informed yes but never told they were part of a gym that had every few daily hours. When we arrived on Sunday were shown a piece of paper with hours later when I went to desk to take pic of hours I was informed those were July hours not August(it was Aug 11) and I would have to call the gym in the morning. Well when I called the gym them next morning at 8am where the hotels advertised pool and hot tub were I was informed the only pool hours for today was 6-8am. Also breakfast was told it was from 6-10am however they took it down at 9am. No one was monitoring when things were empty or needed to be refilled etc. Hall carpet was Nasty. Air conditioner/heater didn’t work

Older place but rooms were updated some. Staff was very nice. Could hear guests walking upstairs and in the halls pretty easily. Train was loud and went several times in the night. No pool as advertised.
