The hotel was just lovely. Every member of staff we encountered were both pleasant and helpful. The room (with king bed) was a bit small but we only needed it to sleep, not hang out. The property was quiet despite being in the theatre district and busy. We walked from South Station through China Town to the hotel in about 15 minutes and there were loads of restaurants nearby to choose from for dinner. Location was perfect for our specific trip, being directly across from the theatre we went to. We had only two minor issues…
1. The AC in the room did not keep us quite cool enough overnight. It had been almost 100 degrees the day of arrival as well as the next day, so, a little give on our part is understandable. It is an old building after all.
2. We paid for breakfast at the time of booking, $26/pp. We weren’t disappointed by the food itself, and the coffee was nice however, we did not find the price worthwhile for what there was. My friend did appreciate the made-to-order omelet option. We were a bit taken aback when the bill came (for record keeping only) and it said $70, which is what we each paid for dinner, drinks and dessert the night before at another restaurant around the corner.
Aside from those two things, I would both recommend this hotel and stay here again, no questions asked!!
