Colourful Dutch colonial architecture lines palm-fringed streets in this sun-soaked Caribbean paradise. Snorkel crystal-clear waters, lounge on Eagle Beach, or explore the beachfront casinos for entertainment and dining options.
With the booming activity life of the hi-rise hotel neighborhood, downtown Oranjestad seemed to have lost some of its vibrant luster and appeal from what I remember in years past. However it is still rich in history, culture and shopping.

I really liked the area. Especially, Eagle Beach area. The waters are clear. I highly recommend the following beaches: Baby beach, Arashi beach and Eagle Beach. You will not be disappointed.

The capital is a bit run down now and lits of places closed. Palm beach has had lots of new development with hotels, bars, shops and the locals have said everything is moving to Palm beach area

In my experience, the citizens of Oranjestad are friendly, welcoming, kind people and in the most unexpected ways. I truely enjoyed meeting them and look forward to returning to Aruba.

We took an island tour and found it very interesting, from the beaches, to the different hotels and casinos, the restaurants and the desert on the opposite side.

I will be back. It is safe and clean. The city has a good mix of well behaved tourists and local people living life.

Oranjestad is a great vacation place. It is ideal for relaxing and getting rejuvenated.
"Very nice, quiet, and accessible resort not located in “hotel area” but still close to everything. If you’re looking for loud music and party vibe this is not it. It’s beautiful and quiet, but close to everything you could want; casinos, downtown Oranjestad, hotel area, etc.. Beach across the street was great and they provide chairs and shade huts. Resort is 3 mins from Eagle beach (the most beautiful beach in Aruba). The pools were very nice and the swim up bar at the infinity pool was awesome! The buffet at Seaside was mediocre at best and we wished we had gone to Muligan’s every day instead. Mulligan’s is walk in and totally worth it! Windows and Tapas require reservations, but also worth it. If we have a complaint beyond the buffet it would be that our room smelled like mildew and had a dampness about it. It got better with the fan on and such, but that’s probably my biggest complaint. The room was huge, clean, had a big balcony and a washer/dryer in the unit. Full kitchen. We loved our stay and would definitely stay again! "
"Great vacation! Beds comfortable, access to beach was amazing. Wish sitting area in rooms were more comfortable and modern. Overall staff was alway accommodating. Did bike tour and snorkeling with Zep and Steve had an amazing time. Love being up close to sea turtles. "
