This was a 4 star hotel I booked and not a cheap one. After booking through my hotel.com app, Incas sent a mail by the hotel asking to register for access. When I declined they wrote that this is not a normal hotel and that there will be no reception and I would need an access code!! I was worried from Haag moment on.
After I spent 1.5 hours keying in personal data and passport info for 2 people and credit card info (very odd that I had to do this) and the access code did not arrive, the hotel wrote that in fact I don’t need access code as the hotel has 24 hour reception. Well what a mess!!
Then the maid did not clean the room mid day on the first day when we left to go out for lunch. When I told the reception in the evening, the receptionist promised to investigate and get back to us. She never did. In the way out to dinner I asked her again and then she told me that according to the maid, we had left the do not disturb sign on the door. This was a blatant lie as I had personally made sure this was NOT the case when we left the room.
So all in all, a disastrous experience with a supposedly 4 star hohen which turned out to be an apartment hotel, a fact that was NOT advertised in the hotel.com app when we selected this hotel!!!
