I booked the reservation in February (5 months before our stay). We checked in and were given a room on the main floor. At the time, we did not know the kitchen was directly adjacent to our room. We found out at 4:30 the next morning when we heard the food being prepared and carts of food being wheeled around.
The hotel is currently being remodeled, which is a good thing. Our room, while clean, had peeling paint and patches on the ceiling.
After being woken up the second morning at 4:30 by the staff preparing breakfast, we asked to have our room changed. After some back and forth, we were given a room on the third floor. This new room was clean and looked to have been newly remodeled.
My advice is to not give a room in need of repair, in a noisy area, to a customer that booked several months in advance. Either leave that room vacant, or leave it for a last minute walk-in that just needs a room.
Overall, I would stay here again. I would just request a room on the third or fourth floor so I could actually get some rest.
By the way, the breakfast was very good.
