Humidité, hotel vieillot, à éviter
Hormis l'emplacement au bord de plage et la vue sur la mer, l'hôtel a vécu des jours meilleurs. L'aspect de la chambre est très différent des photos. Il y a de la moquette verte au sol, des morceaux manquent au pied d'un des lits. Qui plus est, il y a énormément d'humidité ! Le plâtre du plafond se détache par endroit, notamment au-dessus des lits du côté des oreillers. Il en tombe même sur votre tête pendant votre sommeil. Autant dire que l'endroit n'est pas fait pour les personnes allergiques ou asthmatiques. Les lieux sont défraîchis et vieillots, et les parties communes sont peu avenantes.

This hotel is still undergoing construction from the devastating hurricanes. ***No beach access from the property, you have to walk down the street past two hotels to get on the beach. Breakfast is cereal, bagels, pastries, yogurt, and fruit.

El Caribe Resort is no Resort....just a hotel!
Our stay was fine, just one night. We had a nice view of the water but there was construction going on, as they were rebuilding the seawall, so a lot of noise. The pool was closed because of the past couple of hurricanes. Older building, clean enough, we had a leak in the bathroom ceiling because of a drain back up on the floor above us and we were not offered a discount for the inconvenience. We advised maintenance and they were unable to fix anything at 9:00 at night, not a big deal but some kind of acknowledgement would have been nice since the room was not cheap. Breakfast options were decent and Virginia was lovely to talk to!

Could be great with some maintenance.
The property was in drastic need of a remodel. While it was generally clean it was in disrepair. The elevator door stuck every time we used the south lift. Our room door had to be unlocked to latch and the beds were shot.

Pictures don't really show what's it's like. Dirty and old. The front door was probably locked in at some point, very "interesting" door jamb repair, old worn out shower, broken floor tiles, tre was hair on the sheets/pillows. Stay here if you're into that grungy vibe.

A wonderful stay!
My husband and I took a trip to Daytona Beach for our honeymoon. Our stay was excellent at El Caribe Resort and Conference Center. The only thing we wish would have been different is that we would have been notified that there was no beach access from the property due to the hurricane prior to our trip. We weren't told under we arrived, the lady at the front desk told us it was only a 2 min walk to the public beach access but that had been washed out by the hurricane too so we had to drive and park in paid parking to access the beach. Housekeeping was great, they gave us clean towels, blankets, and removed trash each day except for the last but I believe our room had not purposely been skipped, they were more than willing to give us towels when we went and asked that night after returning back late. We had a great time and I would return back to their facility again!

Everything Was Excellent Until
Let's start from the beginning. Easy friendly check-in. Nice clean room. Everything was going perfect until guests checked in late at night when we were already in bed. Very loud and I thought they came into our room by accident because the noise sounded so close, but they were next door. No consideration for other guests, They talked on speaker phone for most of the night and used the microwave all night long. Thought they were never going to sleep. My kids complained they couldn't sleep and neither could I. So this hotel have paper thin walls obviously. Knowing that they could of spaced out the rooms. Anyways somehow still managed to make it for breakfast which was great. Bagels you can toast with cream cheese or butter. Coffee cereal milk yogurt and pastries. My son said he would give them 5 stars because we weren't locked out of the room lol.

Ok for quick stay
It wasn’t a terrible place hit not the best. Pros- comfortable/clean bed with newer furniture, ocean view, clean pools, soft clean towels, free breakfast but not hot (muffins/cereal/yogurt/bagels), pleasant staff, quick easy check in. Cons- old/run down dark hallways, missing threshold between carpet and tile with edge of tile sticking up a good bit, no beach access but right now that most of the beach, the bathroom was disgusting (brown stains on walls, mildew behind toilet, mismatched tiles and old swelled up shelves and the door wouldn’t close. (I think maybe they are remodeling because the bed area was nice and new and the bathrooms were terrible. But idk) and the elevators took forever and the stairwells were not well lit….it think half of what we paid would be fair for what they had to offer at the moment.

Horrible stay
The place was more like a motel the room was nasty and smelled the bath rooom was nasty water damage everywhere on walls and trim we couldn’t go out on the balcony cause of the strong smell of cigarettes and the place was supposed to be smoke free the bedding was pretty stainded up

Do not go there with your family.
It was the worst experience ever. Customers were smoking w**d in their balcony and downstairs by the pool. I could not open the door to enjoy my beach view due to the smell coming to my room. I saw some smoking cigarettes in the elevator as well. Bathrooms were dirty, broken door locks, all package breakfast items. I do not recommend anyone to go there specially with your families.

Deceptive photos
After my daughter found two small cockroaches in her room, it went downhill from there. In the bathroom, a tile was missing with rust stains inside the tub. The mattress was so soft that you would sink to the middle of the bed. Turing from one side to another was a chore. Overall, the room was not clean. The photos on Hotel.com is not the actual reality. It was too late to fnd another hotel.
