Hello unfortunately we couldn’t go on our trip to Galway as we had the biggest storm ever in Ireland/Galway and the rail service to Galway was Cancelled. I did contact the hotel to advise and they understood it wasn’t possible for us to travel by train I also advised that I had no other way to travel I’m would if I could have a refund. As this was the biggest storm ever in Ireland. Thankyou Gary

Unique and comfortable
our family enjoyed the unique and comfortable style of the room. Most importantly for us we had 2 levels and 2 bathrooms so it was very convenient. We were right in the center of the local attractions and would definitely recommend this hotel.

Hotellin sijainti oli keskeinen, kävelykadun varrella. Valitettavasti ääni alakerran baareista kantautui huoneeseen joten korvatulpat oli tarpeen (tarjolla myös huoneessa). Palvelu oli erinomaista ja sain paljon vinkkejä mitä tehdä. Aamupalaa ei ole tarjolla hotellissa ja jos matkatavaroita on paljon niin kapeissa portaissa niitä on hankala kuljettaa ylempiin kerroksiin. Huone oli aika pieni mutta siisti ja kotoisa.

This was an really cool hotel smack in the middle of the Latin Quarter. Incredibly convenient for the whole street of pubs and very close to great walking paths along the bay and the canals. The only reason it's losing stars is because some of the wall mounted fixtures could be done better, but honestly if you're not an architect you probably won't be bothered.

Good Location but Little Sleep
The Snug was conveniently located and they were kind enough to send us details on where to go for off site paid parking. The shower was hot. Unfortunately the bed was not very comfortable and it was very loud. Even with the provided earplugs in I was not able to sleep though my partner who is a heavy sleeper slept ok. I think we would have been better staying on a higher floor as there were businesses doing some work to close at around 2AM that was directly outside our ground level window. Unfortunately we were encouraged to take the ground level accessible room due to our luggage which fit fine under the bed so the additional space was not needed.

You’re definitely in the action of Quay St. in this area. Everyone was very hospitable and the rooms were very nice and modern. It’s a great stay if you want to enjoy Galway night life.

Confined, but convenient
Very “snug” indeed! Conveniently located on the main strip in Galway. No elevators, but staff did carry up our luggage for us, which was helpful. Bed is tucked away in the corner, so you do have to crawl in, but it was comfortable. Since it is on the Main Street, it’s a little noisy at night, but they provided ear plugs which helped a lot! Not a lot of room for bags, but for a few nights, it did the job for the two of us.

The Snug gives you exactly what it advertises: a bed, a shower and a toilet. That's all. But I didn't need more because in a town like Galway, I was out by 8:30 and back by midnight. The location is absolutely where you want to be, right on Quay Street where a lot of great pubs are, but you can be in the Claddagh and by Galway bay within minutes as well (to spot some seals!). The staff was great too. The only complaint I can utter was that fire alarm going off twice in the first night because some idiot smoked in his room, it took quite long before it was taken care of. Besides that, fantastic week, fantastic stay.
