Good place to stay.
The room has basic amenities and was comfortable. Given the area is still recovering from the previous hurricane, the owners have made sure that those visiting have what they need. My only concern is not having a second lock (latch) that was not part of the digital main lock.

Spartan but clean and comfortable.
This is definitely not a place for anyone expecting anything above very basic accommodations. Rustic and minimalist as well as small. It was clean and beds comfortable however spillover noise from the bar/restaurant was loud and bothersome well into the night. The staff was friendly but a bit overwhelmed for check in and we were disappointed in dinner. As this area recovers from what was obviously severe impacts of the Helene hurricane, we wish them well.

Nice place, but needs extermination
Bring your roach spray. I grew up in Florida. Palmetto roaches are a common thing, but when you book and pay money for a room to see them actively should not happen. There was a dead one by my nightstand by the wall. We were settling in to bed and one ran across the floor. I couldn't reach it to kill and it crawled behind the cabinetry. The next morning when I woke up the first thing I saw was a palmetto roach crawling on the ceiling above the bed. It finally crawled down toward the wall where I could reach to kill it. Otherwise I have been to Steinhatchee several times. It is a quaint get away. This is my first time staying at Fiddler's. They have a good restaurant across the street from the room.

No complaints. Easy contactless check in. Walked over and had a great dinner at their restaurant. Only stayed one night while working on our property that was destroyed.

Has great live music at restaurant but then when going back to our resort room to sleep and turn in for the night we could still hear that live restaurant music untill 11 pm, nearly midnight 👎 and trying to sleep after a long day of driving. Food at the restaurant was good and convenient after a long day. And staff were friendly and helpful.

When we arrived and check in your room, the room had not been cleaned. It was pretty bad. When we contacted through texting a staff member within 20 minutes other staff arrived and settled us into another room which was clean and fine hugely appreciated.

It was a clean room , very small, price was fair, compared to hotels around chiefland and cross city, Fl where we needed a room it would be considered nice. I might would stay again only because the selection around the area I need to stay are not good.
