Maison bien équipée avec une vue splendide. Explications fournies par la propriétaire pour atteindre la maison très claires. Par contre route d'accès cahotique sans 4x4 et longue (5km). Une fois qu'on a atteint la maison, on n'a pas très envie de ressortir dîner.

Simply amazing

An INCREDIBLE time at Canavida. The area is stunning. The team that runs the resort is fabulous. We stayed at Casa Oropendola. The view of the Pacific was INCREDIBLE. As was the wildlife. The whale tail beach (and national park) is just down the hill and it's amazing. Playa Hermosa is also great (and has lifeguards). Loved the local waterfalls too (just a short drive away). I suggest renting a 4x4. It will make the drive easier. Lots of options for groceries at the bottom of the hill. We stayed for 6 nights and could have happily stayed even longer. FYI, Uvita is used to tourists so you can get around with little/no Spanish.

We drove from Ojochal side and the Google map link took us through the right road side. We eventually did get there. We stayed in Toucan (3 bedroom). The communication was on point. The road is indeed unpaved and it takes us about 15 min. We did have a 4x4 but didn’t really need to use the function only when it rained. We did notice the adjoining bedrooms, we can hear each other’s conversation. We were 2 couples and had to decide which rooms would give us more privacy. The place was real nice and cool. There’s AC in all the bedrooms and living room. The kitchen has most of what you’ll need to cook a meal. We couldn’t get the AC on and it was immediately addressed. We had to play with the shower to get the right temperature. It’s either very hot water or cold. We didn’t get a chance to address this. We’d stay here again. We felt safe and comfortable.

Pure Paradise at Casa Oropéndola – A Dream Getaway

We stayed at Casa Oropéndola at Canavida Resort from March 31st to April 4th, and it was nothing short of magical. The property is absolutely stunning—tucked into the lush hills of Uvita with breathtaking ocean views and surrounded by nature. Waking up to the sound of howler monkeys and tropical birds, then taking a dip in our own private pool while watching the sunrise—unreal. The 2-bedroom home is beautifully designed, with a perfect balance of modern comfort and eco-luxury. Everything was spotless and well-equipped, especially the kitchen, which made it easy to enjoy meals at home. We spent most of our time outside on the patio or in the pool, soaking in the peaceful vibes. The location couldn’t be better. It’s close to the beaches, waterfalls, and the national park, but still feels totally secluded and serene. The drive up is part of the adventure (definitely recommend a 4x4), and the views are 100% worth it. The hosts were fantastic—super responsive and thoughtful, making sure we had everything we needed for a perfect stay. We left feeling relaxed, refreshed, and already planning our return. If you're considering a stay here—do it. You won’t regret it. ⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️⭐️ Highly recommend!

Bel endroit et logement bien équipé. Route d’accès de 5km non asphaltée mais cela reste praticable. Belle vue de la piscine. Avoir conscience que lieu est équipé de 5 condos donc promiscuité…, toutefois sans difficultés ou nuisance pour nous. En synthèse, bon séjour de 2 nuits et bon rapport qualité prix.

Traumhafte Location, erst vor einem Jahr fertiggestellt. Jesseca ist sehr nett und kümmert sich um das Wohlbefinden. Mega Aussicht und traumhafte Geräusche des Dschungels. Anfahrt über 4 km Schotterweg teilweise steil bergauf war sehr beschwerlich. Wir konnten den Weg mit 4x4 bewältigen. Werden die Zeit dort oben nicht so schnell vergessen

We loved Canavida! If you want the hustle and bustle of a city, this place isn't for you. But if you want to be in the middle of nature with spectacular views, this place is heaven. It is well equipped with everything you need, and is the perfect place to unwind and relax. Just make sure to bring in whatever groceries you need before you start the drive up the long dirt road. The road was fine, but we were glad we had a 4x4 with high clearance. We could have driven without it, but it was easy with it.

What an excellent property! The family that runs it is dedicated to making sure all guests (including kids) have a great vacation. The property is fairly new, and the owners are always improving it. Behind the condos is a grassy area with a trampoline and badminton—perfect for kids or your inner child. Our six-year-old loved the pool and trampoline. At dawn and dusk, the property comes alive with the wildlife you come to Costa Rica to see. Have your binoculars ready by the pool deck for the show—and don’t miss the sunsets and starry skies. The condos were clean and well-equipped for cooking. The propane grills had everything we needed to grill out. It’s about 5KM/3Mi up the mountain, a 20-minute drive. We visited in March 2025 and used a driver (Caleb—highly recommend) to get up and down. It’s around 10Mil or $20 each way, worth it for the incredible views. I’ve traveled the world and this place will forever stand out. I’m already planning to stay for a month or two in the future. Amazing stay

Our stay was absolutely amazing. Canavida is a beautiful place in the mountains sounds by nature. Very peaceful. And Jess was the most amazing host helping us out with everything from the moment we arrived. Can 100% recommend it

Accès impossible et bruits extérieurs

Accès très compliqué par un chemin qui nécessite un 4/4. 20 minutes pour faire 4 kms!!! Bruit énorme de cigales mesurés à plus de 89 décibels. Impossible d’être dehors . Chambre non attenantes nécessitant de sortir du salon par l’extérieur pour y accéder . Impossible avec des enfants . Nous avions réservés 4 nuits mais impossible de rester ici . Nous avons donc quitté les lieux .

Jungle Paradise

Highly recommend Canavida. It was genuinely special. Set in the middle of a luscious jungle with incredible views of the ocean. Breathtaking.

Lækkert sted oppe og væk fra det meste.

Det er et fantastisk sted som kun kan anbefales! Vi havde lidt udfordringer med cikader som larmede helt vildt og ødelagde lidt af oplevelsen, men det var stadig virkelig fedt! Ligger 20 min væk fra byen og vejen dertil er bumpet og kraftigt kuperet.

Highly highly recommend!

We had a lovely couple of nights here. The pictures do not so the villa justice. The view is just stunning, beautiful pool overlooking the sea. There’s also a bbq you can use which was great. Jess and her team were wonderful, I cannot thank them enough for going above and beyond for us. We got stuck with a flat tire when we arrived and they got it all sorted for us. Anything you need, the team are on hand are communicate with you from the minute you book.

Found Paradise in Costa Rica!

I have been traveling for pleasure and for work throughout my life. I have been using hotels.com for on average 50+ hotel nights per year last 10 years. And finally, I felt I should leave a very positive review. Canavida Villas & Resort is the first booking where the everything exceeded the expectations. Top Location, service, communication, quality of stay, THE VIEW, the staff, the people, the pool, THE GRILL, the nature... I don't know where to start or to end. Basically images are in most hotel presentations showing a refined view of reality, in this case the nice photos of the property did not reflect the reality, IT WAS EVEN BETTER IRL! If you want to have a weekend or a week at one of the best locations in CR, then you just found it. Yes, it is on a hill = there is a challenging climb with your car, but you can get there with a 2 wheel drive. Uvita as location is also very nice, but why bother to go there except for grocery shopping, this resort is a paradise you don't want to leave!
