My thoughts after staying 4 nights at this brand-new boutique hotel located in the heart of Polanco, Mexico City
Positives:
Cleanliness and Design: The hotel is spotless and well-designed. It's obviously new so that has a major role in the cleanliness.
Friendly Staff: The staff are welcoming and very accommodating.
Negatives:
Lack of Common Areas: One significant drawback is the absence of a proper common area. There is no lobby to relax, have a drink, chat, or work on your laptop. The small 8' x 18' reception area, which includes only a desk and two elevators, is insufficient for a hotel of this caliber.
Oversized Restaurant: The hotel features a large restaurant that feels out of proportion for the space available. This restaurant, which occupies the entrance area, lacks the inviting atmosphere necessary to attract guests from the street. A covered area at the back of the hotel would have been a more suitable location for the restaurant, leaving the front area to serve as a welcoming lobby.
Overall:
While the hotel excels in cleanliness, design, and staff friendliness, the lack of a welcoming common area is a significant drawback. A more inviting lobby space would greatly enhance the guest experience and attract more visitors. As it stands, the empty restaurant at the entrance detracts from the hotel's appeal. I wouldn't stay here again unless these issues are addressed.
