Not bad but interesting
Palm Desert Suites was an interesting stay. My husband and I stayed last week for two nights while visiting palm desert. Upon arrival, there was no front desk or check in. We called a number and left a message in about 5-7 minutes, the owner came to our car and checked showed us our room/gave us our one key. She was very nice and helpful. She walked into our room with us and looked if we had towels, we did not and stated that they would be there in 15 minutes. We did not see the worker after about 30 minutes and had to leave to our engagement. The next day, we left in the morning and came back in the evening. When we came back, our room had been entered, there were towels left and the bed was striped and made. This was strange simply because they were in our room without our knowledge with our stuff present. The bathroom shower was very dirty and there was a used bar of soap in the shower. There was no shampoo, condition or body soap provided. Overall, if I had to stay here again, I would but I would not necessarily recommend it either.

Lies, lies, lies
My family and I decided to stay at Palm Desert Suites based on the reviews from Hotels.com. The check in process was very different than anything we have experienced before. We received a text message letting us know our room would be ready after 4pm. We arrived and followed the instructions to park by the flagpole. Weird, do they not have a loddy? A lady came up to our car, which freaked out my wife and daughter. It was a long day so after inspecting the room (E33), we tried to watch TV and relax. After looking around we noticed a lot of things inconsistent and wrong with the room. Trying to make the best of it we went to bed and we woke the next day and my wife’s back was killing her. We notified the property that we wouldn’t be staying the 2nd night, see pics of the texts messages back and forth with the property. No refund has been issued and hotels.com wasn’t much of a help either. No refund has been issued, this property does not keep their word.

Cockroaches
Room def needs to be upgraded. Whoever did the work on the hotel did a horrible job. Then to top it off I saw cockroaches in the bathroom on the day we left. The lady that checked me in was very nice but then there was some maintence guy there the next day yelling at her outside our room. I say pay a little extra and stay somewhere else.

Give this one a look
If you would like to have a kitchenette and pretty large room, this is a good option. I did not have an updated room, but the bed was comfortable, the kitchen worked and the water in the shower was hot and powerful. Bring all the specialized kitchen gear you may need, because it is very limited. The TV is a wee bit small and you do not have daily maid service. On the plus side, you can walk to the outdoor shopping center, a Sprouts market is close by and the neighbor is safe. I would stay here again (and I would probably be visually happier in one of the updated rooms). Again, not a bad option especially for the price that was amazing in comparison to the other hotels nearby.

The room was large, the bed was comfortable, and the location was great. When we arrived, there wasn't any soap for the shower; there were only two small towels (no bath towels) and only the partially used TP on the roll. We messaged the manager, and those items were supplied quickly. The pool was cold, and the hot tub was colder. We booked for two nights but received a message in error that we were past our checkout time after night one. It was resolved, but due to this mix-up, our key card no longer worked on day two. We reached out, and again, management was helpful.

The window coverings do not block out the extremely bright night security lighting. The manager did stop and ask if we needed anything, but that was at the end of our stay. The "garbage" bags were so small they didn't fit the trash can in the kitchen. We did enjoy the wonderfully warm pool.

A Gem in Palm Desert
Wonderful stay! While the property is older, the studio apartment was fully renovated with brand new appliances and a very comfortable bed. The location of this property is only a half a mile from downtown Palm Desert, which offers lots of shopping and great restaurants. The only negative is that the smart tv only had Netflix loaded; no other apps or regular tv channels. For the price point, room size, amenities and location, I would highly recommend staying here and will definitely return.

Disappointed
The service started out wonderfully. However, when I told management that the heater didn't work I lost all communication with them. There isn't an office on-site and this was confusing to me. There was a wonderful woman named Kim who tried to help me with the heater but to no avail. She gave me an extra blanket but I was freezing for 2 nights. Also, the TV wouldn't turn off so they cut the power to the TV entirely so NO TV. The curtains wouldn't shut completely so the light on the outside deck shone in the room all night. Also, no coffee maker. What?! I wouldn't recommend this place but apparently Building A is remodeled and quite nice. I was in Building F. It's a funky place that wasn't clean. However, I will say that the small little bed was comfortable. Don't stay here.

Almost Great!
Easy check in. Clean. Bright. Big windows. Lovely view. Functional kitchen. Great location. Terrific price. Nice internet access. But a few easy fixes would make this a 5 star review. Please provide: Kleenex; soap of some sort in the shower; hairdryer; kitchen dish towels along with a small dish drying rack; soap for auto dishwasher. Last thing…there are many lights around the room that distract when sleeping: stove, microwave, heater, TV, but the one that shines like a cabaret spotlight is the router in the middle of the ceiling. Crazy bright!! Maybe something can cover the light? Tape? It’s really bright. All the above would cost less than $100 but would help a bunch. Thanks for listening!!
