The staff was helpful especially Barbara (loved her). We were moved from our room twice due to assignment errors but they were quick to respond and correct the errors. They were very understanding of our frustration and made accommodations accordingly.

I don’t like leaving f mediocre reviews but….Office closes for check in at 1pm and rhere is no communication. Keys will be in a random mailbox by reception door. Good luck finding your room especially the dark. Our room fridge stilll had last guests food in it. On a positive restaurant prices are fair and food is solid. It’s a bargain stay for sure. No hot water

Nobody there to check you in and had to ask around to find where the key was left. Both pools were green and dirty and not safe for swimming in. The coffee pot took over an hour to brew a pot of coffee so basically unusable. The smell of the sewer from our balcony made us want to be inside. The room itself was updated the view was amazing and it was very clean they really need to focus on details around the property.
This was the cleanest of the two pools and no-one even tried to go in

The room was very nice and clean. I stayed one night. I had a ground floor room which had a sunken living room. There were 2 high steps up to the bed, bathroom and kitchen. The deck was nice with furniture. The kitchen had a 2 burner stove and small frig. Note that the reception desk has very limited hours and they do not answer the phone. Keys are left or you. I ate at the restaurant, which is open at night, and enjoyed the food and live steel drum musician who plays on Friday night. The coffee shop had a decent assortment of fresh prepared drinks and snacks. The beach is a 15 minute walk on the main road downhill. Magens Bay beach does have an entrance fee. The walk uphill on the main road can be a little difficult if you aren't in good shape. Both pools were clean. Only one spa was operating.

This was once a beautiful resort but it is showing is age. We had a gorgeous bay view room! One hot tub was drained and one was not hot at all, just a bit warmer than the pool. Second pool was green. Restaurant food was very good and reasonably priced. Joel the bartender is awesome! There is also a cafe with good food too. This is also a cat sanctuary with 30 cats who roam the large property. They are well cared for, friendly and have been spayed and don't go in the rooms. Bring your own hair dryer. Taxi is at least $15pp to go to the town or beach. It is very beautiful, quiet and scenic if you want to be with all the husstle and bustle this is not the place. We would like to return next year but not sure if we will if no updates or repairs are done.

Staff support was lacking. If you don't get to the front desk before 1 pm when it closes you will not be able to get issues addressed. Everything seemed just slightly broken and just wasn't up to par. Electronic room keys didn’t work, and when we did notify the front desk no one came to fix the issue during our stay. So we were limited to 1 hard key to unlock the door.

Ok first of all, there was no staff available to check in. There was no staff available on the phone either. The pool on the grounds was dirty and you couldnt see the bottom of it. The water in the hot tub was black. Plaster was falling from the ceiling in the bathroom shower and was on the floor of the shower. This property should not be listed as any place to go. We stayed one night and that was it. Had to find another place to stay for the week at great cost. I would like a refund. Do not send anyone there

Problems started happening on the 2nd night . First problem water was off for about three hours. Second problem the Airconditioner stopped working. But thank God for Ms Barbra who was able to work every thing out for us on this trip. She went out her way to make up for all that had taken place earlier. Cheers for employees like her. Thanks for working everything out for us Ms.Barbra.

Expedia listing needs to be updated to reflect correct staff check in/out availability hours and also to reflect check in/out after hours procedure. This way customers know what to expect ahead of time. Was challenging to get anyone live on the phone. Kitchenette was well stocked (upside surprise) except for a kitchen sink plug. Good value for our needs

The only thing we enjoyed at the Flamboyan was the food we ordered and service in the bar. The place needs to be closed until it is brought back up to par! Apparently it’s under new management and undergoing some changes, but the place is dilapidated, DIRTY, old & in desperate need of updates and provisions, and just flat out was not what was advertised! The pool water was as murky as they come (didn’t even put a toe in there)! As an avid and often time traveler, I was very disappointed that I spent my 22nd wedding anniversary at this dump! Our trip to St. Thomas thankfully was scheduled for 6 nights, so we expeditiously (unfortunately had to stay 2 nights) got on up out of there. WE WILL NEVER EVER EVER RETURN!!!!
