Find another place to stay

I have stayed many places in lancaster and this was the worst. The check in drsk had no restroom available which is unheard of . The motel is home to locals the pool unavailable and the attitude was uncaring and unappreciative of our stay. Have always felt safe relaxed and welcomed everywhere but here.

We stayed here 3 years ago and while it wasn't anything super fancy, we had a much better stay the first time. I also didn't bother to read current reviews before booking. That was a mistake. As often said "you get what you pay for". I was thankful that we weren't staying for more than one night. I couldn't have done it. Overall the property showed obvious signs of wear. Railings were broken, exterior of the doors were "chipped" and had superficial holes. Inside the rooms, there were stains on the walls, stained lamp shades, dirty carpets (I made the mistake of moving the chair out of the way and there were so many crumbs and visible dirt on the floor, gross), stained towels, sheet with holes, a comforter with a stain, and dust on furniture. I will say the bathroom was mostly clean, minus some hairs on the floor. It would definitely benefit from a "deep clean". It also appeared that many of the clientele were possibly "long stay". We actually considered leaving and driving home, but we stuck out the night. The people I came in contact with were pleasant. However, I won't be staying here in the future.

Complete Filth

First room 103 the sheets and pillow cases were dirty and not clean. 2nd room 108 had black mold on the sheets. 3rd room attempt the sheets and pillow cases were dirty again. I contacted Hotels.com and was able to be refunded for my stay and we booked elsewhere. This place is dated, disgusting and unclean. The owner was rude when we showed him the uncleanliness. I would never recommend this place to anyone.

Needs major overhaul

Had read the reviews before booking and not sure who wrote them. Never got the AC to cool the room, walked across the floor in a pair of white socks and the bottoms were black which told me the carpet needed replacing, got up at night to use the bathroom but had to kill spiders first. Sorry I would sleep in my car before I slept there again.

Great family-friendly hotel

We chose Soudersburg Motel based on the location, reasonable price and good reviews from other travelers and we were not disappointed. It is close to a lot of fun things to do in Lancaster, the room cost was very affordable for family compared to other nearby hotels, and it was extremely clean with several updated amenities (new key locks on doors, motion light fixtures) plus plentiful Ice! They also refreshed the room without us pestering the staff, staff was friendly as well. Free coffee in the lobby too.

Dirtiest Place I Ever Stayed

I have never before left a review in any context, however I feel I have to leave a review for this motel. The Soudersburg was the dirtiest place I have ever stayed. The sheets had stains, hairs, and eyelashes in them. The towels had stains and there were hairs all over the bathroom. I have never been so uncomfortable staying anywhere in my life, where I almost debated driving home at 3 in the morning because of how disgusted I was. I was in town for a wedding and the front desk was closed by the time I returned to the room for the night, so there was no one to request assistance from. As a single woman, I did not feel comfortable sleeping in my vehicle in the parking lot, although I did consider it. I was also unable to provide feedback upon checkout as the office was closed when I left. I cannot in good conscience recommend staying at this facility to anyone due to the level of filth I observed. Please save your money for your stay.

We found mold on our sheets and asked for new sheets the towels we only had two bath towels and a dirty wash towel and two hand towels. The room needs to be dusted professionally. We stayed here before it has gone down .
