Stayed overnight on our way to Florida and would stay again! Yes the hotel is old but what do you expect? It’s very well kept very clean and we loved the location and boutique feel! We will be coming back next time we are in Charleston! Would not recommend for elderly people as they do have stairs that are steep so plan according! But my almost 2 year old had no issue so I would say kid friendly!

Room 2 was loud in the very early am. Could hear all movement on the stairs- probably to be expected in historic property, but there was also loud construction or some kind of engine nearby starting at 6 am every day including the weekend. Couldnt figure out the thermostat so it was cold at night. Also they wouldnt give us a late checkout, which I understand but was still a bit frustrating. A warning about the early morning noise would be nice.

Quarto grande e bonito em uma casa histórica bem preservada.Bairro próximo do Centro Historico.Da para ir caminhando mas sao Umas 10 quadras.O bairro onde se situa é bem residencial,e agradável.O cafe da manha consiste num bom sanduiche quentinho,cafe e frutas.Esta disponivel na sala de estar.Nao existem funcionarios.Tudo e self use.Se entra via código.Mas tudo funciona perfeito.Recomendo

I booked two rooms for trip with friends. There are a couple things I want to share for better service in the future. 1. Breakfast was served at 1st FL and coffee maker was broken. Many of customers were not happy. 2. Coffee maker at room 5 was broken too. 3. Air filter was super noisy at room 5&6. 4. Toilet in room 6 was kept flashing. 5. Bath soap bottle in shower room at room 6 was broken.

LOVED THE ASHLEY!
The Ashley is the most beautiful, quaint hotel in the area. We had Room 3 which was perfect for two friends. The main room had a king bed plus desk and coffee area, and a separate room with a fold out sofa! Gave us both the privacy and space we needed. PLUS had the most gorgeous veranda! It was warm enough to sit outside for a bit. The shower had so much water pressure - a treat for California girls. They offered a delicious breakfast bagel and coffee bar with sodas and waters. Great value! The manager Price was so kind as he had to come back to help us with the lock. He was personable and offered suggestions of where to go and what to do. We would go back to Charleston just to stay at The Ashley!

I loved the aesthetic and comfort of this inn! I wish there was little bit more lighting in the room but otherwise I loved it! I thought the Christmas tree in parlor was such a lovely touch. I also really appreciate the help of the staff with letting me keep my bag in the parlor and working with me on my check out time! They were so helpful and responded so quickly! It’s a lovely and charming little place to stay and you really feel like you’re in the center of all the charm Charleston had to offer!

My husband and I are Charleston natives, and we decided to do a stay-cation here for my birthday. This place is beautiful! We loved our room, we loved the common spaces, and there were some great amenities. A few things seemed overlooked. We booked the speakeasy room and looked forward to hanging out in the speakeasy. The stairs down to the speakeasy room seemed to be lubed or greased, we kept finding black grease stains on our hands and clothes after going up and down the stairs. The tv downstairs didn't work, we thought it was due to dead batteries. After we switched batteries (with batteries we had) and turned it on, the TV still did not work. It kinda ruined the vibe but not the whole stay. The breakfast was great, they provided homemade bacon, egg & cheese bagel sandwiches. Quaker Oatmeal and some granola bars were also available as well as lots of drink options. The nespresso machines in the common area as well as in our room were really great. Fresh fruit was advertised, but the only fruit available were two old tangerines. As someone who can't eat dairy, I checked ahead of time that food options for me would be available and was disappointed when they weren't. Overall, we loved this place. It was clean, had great amenities, we met some cool people, and it was a beautiful property. Some little things just seemed overlooked. We would definitely recommend it and stay here again!!
