This is a beautiful boutique hotel near the edge of the French Quarter. Our room was beautiful, with cool art and bold colors. We loved its location, a short walk to the riverfront streetcar, and some excellent restaurants including Adolfo’s. In addition it has a cool courtyard to relax in. Highly recommend!!

This hotel is charming, warm, welcoming and classically beautiful! Staff are sooo lovely and are hugely positive. The bed was ridiculously comfortable and I felt like i was stayuhg in a Van Gogh painting!! Bathroom lovely and cosy and wonderful location. I am truly sad not be staying longer and it will always stay close to my heart of an incredible experience. NOLA spirit and this Hotel are one!

The Hotel Pompadour is colorful, bright and inviting on the outside as it was on the “inside.” Staff were responsive, helpful and provided personalized assistance to make our stay and visit memorable. The room was comfortable with a seetee and pouf that could be used an ottoman or side table. The towels were thick and fluffy and the bathroom had refillable toiletries. We appreciated this “green” touch. The staff provided recommendations of off their favorite bars and restaurants which made us feel like locals for our stay.

This hotel is very quirky and original, with great art by the owner in every room and antiques that are individually selected and create a beautiful atmosphere. The room was very clean and full of light and quiet. You are literally steps away from the French Quarter, but in a much fighter and more pleasant location. You are in the Marigny and not far from 6 and Treme. It’s a perfect base to go everywhere. You’re close to the nightlife on Frenchmen but you’re not bothered by it when you want to rest. The staff is fantastic, they texted me all kinds of information in a lovely prompt way and went above and beyond when I had a little personal misstep. I can’t wait to go back

I am a regular in New Orleans and I’ve stayed at most of the 3 to 5 star hotels in the FQ, Marigny, and CBD. The Hotel Pompadour’s reviews are legitimate - it is an experience. From the time I arrived, their amazing staff went above and, quite literally, beyond to make sure I was comfortable and that I found a beautiful room that suited my needs. The website’s pictures almost don’t do the hotel justice. Each room interplays modern color-washed spaces with handpicked antiques. My room (101) felt like a jewel box time capsule adorned with intentional Michalopoulos artwork and books. After a few days, I believed I lived there and I began attending garden tours and frequenting The Friendly Bar and Anna’s. The location is situated across from the lower angle of the Marigny triangle so it’s a hop, skip, and a jump to Frenchmen Street and the Quarter. Shower-heads and water pressure are a 10/10, towels and bath mats are plush, and the beds are melt worthy. Last, but not least, I have to send a super shout out to Avery and Katie and all of the staff at the Hotel Pompadour. Every interaction I had with each of you was truly exceptional. See you soon!

The Hotel Pompadour combines so much of what I loved about calling New Orleans my home—local artistry, lush flora and birdsong, and historic character meeting vibrantly present color! The courtyard with fun art and plenty of reading seating. Marigny’s bakeries, cafes, and dinner spots are enticing; live music flirts with you daily; I had easy access to the River and Esplanade’s live oak-lined street that I ran through for exercise daily. Bike rentals are steps away, though we didn’t partake this time. I loved Baldwin books, Elysian Bar, Ayu, and getting basics each morning from Robert’s Market, a short walk on Elysian Fields. I was both surprised that the transient community was still so present and not surprised, as the Marigny and Bywater remains a place of creativity, divestment, and ongoing renewal. There were interpretive signage and museums that were new to me, who actually worked on Frenchmen 20 years ago—as an intern at Offbeat Magazine and a server at the now defunct Hookah Cafe. If you want a tv, they didn’t have one, but that actually made me appreciate this hotel even more—who watches tv while visiting NOLA when the drama on the street and the soundtrack of the city is so much more immersive?! The boniface were responsive and warm, meeting our needs whether for laundry or neighborhood recs, or just friendly and connective conversation. The stay was pretty peaceful, with a few paths crossed. If we need a place to stay again, we’ll check out Pompadour!

It is a beautiful art decor property that is walking distance from the French market, French Quarters and the other end of Bourbon Street that is not on the Canal side. It is close to a lot of different restaurants. It is a private and secured hotel that is traditional with a historic twist. It doesn't have an elevator. Due to the fact that it is in a historic building. They have a courtyard and a balcony on some of the rooms. The rooms are spacious and they have a retro refrigerator in them. This hotel is a new property the owners open this property last October. It is a couple's paradise due to the fact that they don't have tv's. So it will force you to get out and do things around the city. They have a staff that is extremely hands on and will help you anyway they can. They have a 24 hours number. That you can reach them if you need help with anything. They are extremely friendly and customer service is a plus with them. They definitely want to keep you coming back. It is a good place for women or a single person that want to travel on their own. It is good for a girl trips also. Due to the southern charm and authenticity of that New Orleans look and that purple and green color on the outside it scream New Orleans old charm. It is a good change of scenery if you want to get away from the commercial hotels that we are accustomed too. So I highly recommend that you give this hotel a try for a true authentic feel of New Orleans. I am a city person it is a change.

If I could rate The Hotel Pompadour any higher I absolutely would. The staff were all beyond incredible and so kind it’s almost unbelievable. We were incredibly grateful for their responsiveness and flexibility, especially when our flight got delayed a few days, and they worked with us to make sure we could extend our stay. Truly all salt of the earth. Outside of that, the room we stayed in was beautiful, with so many gorgeous paintings from the owner. Have zero complaints, got exactly what was promoted on their website. Location wise, we found it to be the best of both worlds! Could get over to Frenchman st and the French Quarter in 5 minutes or less, but also allowed us to be away from the crowds in a moment as well. Gave us great access to the Marginy and Bywater neighbors that were full of one amazing restaurant after another. If you’re looking for a spot that checks every single box? We can’t recommend hotel Pompadour enough, when we come back we will 10000% be staying here again.

I cannot say enough wonderful things about Hotel Pompadour! This hidden gem in New Orleans is not just a place to stay; it is a destination in itself, filled with soul, character, and breathtaking beauty. From the very first conversation I had with the staff regarding my plans to propose here, they were absolute angels. They went above and beyond to be helpful and accommodating at every single step, ensuring that every detail was perfect. Their kindness and professionalism turned a nerve-wracking moment into a seamless, joyous experience. And the facility? It is simply stunning. The hotel is filled with the most incredible, larger-than-life artwork by James Michalopoulos. His paintings and sculptures give the entire space a vibrant, energetic, and romantic atmosphere that you cannot find anywhere else. The unique architecture and artistic flair literally served as the backdrop for our engagement photos, and they turned out like works of art themselves. This beautiful space will forever hold the most special place in our hearts as the setting where we began our next chapter together. To top it all off, the location is absolutely perfect. You are literally steps away from the best of New Orleans! We took a romantic stroll to Jackson Square, explored the vibrant stalls of the French Market, and enjoyed the incredible live music on Frenchmen Street—all without needing a car or rideshare. Thank you to the entire Hotel Pompadour team for making our engagement unforgettable. The

The Hotel Pompadour is amazing and the staff wonderfully helpful. It’s a quirky place that has gorgeously appointed rooms, filled with a local artist’s gorgeous paintings of New Orleans. The staff were delightfully helpful with restaurant recommendations and even offered us a late check out. The AC works great, which was much appreciated during the hot NOLA summer days. It’s a great location, very walkable to the French Quarter. Def will stay again. Thank you for a wonderful visit to New Orleans!

Hotel Pompadour radiates the loving care of the people who designed it, as well as those who clean and manage it. My room’s personality – quirky, beguiling, lovely -- was the result of many little artistic choices. The atmosphere was peaceful but, at the same time, infused with the spell of New Orleans. I can’t wait to stay here again.

This is a really special hotel. It's stunning inside, but the real stars are the staff (always at the ready via text) and the location. The only thing I would say is definitely get the parking for a one-time fee of $50. We did have our things stolen from the rental car. Enjoy your stay at Hotel Pompadour... We sure did!

Simply Stunning! Made our first visit to New Orleans extra special. If you love art, a true boutique experience and amazing walking proximity to the infamous Frenchmen Street, this is the location for you. We had fresh flowers in our room! We stayed in Room 206 ‘La Petite Muse’ ~ a delightful space. We enjoyed slow mornings and fresh brewed coffee thanks to the well stocked coffee & tea nook in our breezeway. The concierge/host Katie was great ~ just a quick text away and such a pleasure when we interacted face to face. Met Vizzie our last day, also part of the concierge staff and she was wonderful too. We will book Hotel Pompadour for our next NOLA stay without any hesitation.

8/10 Very good

The hotel and rooms and beautiful! The art and decor really stand out, it feels like a magical getaway, the private outdoor space and courtyard give multiple spaces to relax and the outdoor sculptures bring you into the middle of a gallery. The are a few areas for improvement. The rooms just have a key code access and on the inside of the room there’s no ability to lock the door other than a chain which did not feel as secure as it should. The bathtub with the shower does need an anti slip mat, especially since the bottles products are at the end of the tub. Staff are only there very sporadically, I will say I had great communication with text throughout the stay as well as confirming time and access to the room which was amazing but with the layout of the space it would’ve been helpful to have someone at desk. Ultimately I loved the hotel, I just think it has some room to improve to match the beauty of the space.
